“Parker?” Seth reapproaches the table, his hand outstretched.

And I take it, letting him help me off the stool.

Neither of us lets go this time, not until we’re forced to separate by a kid sprinting away from his mother, who throws a hasty apology over her shoulder as she darts by after him.

Seth gives me a sad sort of smile and we make our way back to the bus in silence.

You want your first kiss with a new partner to be electric, but don’t be surprised if it sometimes takes some practice to work out the kinks.

—Lana Parker, “It’s in His Kiss”

Lana:Thanks for hanging out with me yesterday. Never thought I’d say this, but your company actually made being a tourist in LA somewhat close to enjoyable.

Seth:Of course. I had fun

Seth:Kind of felt like old times.

Lana:Yeah, except we didn’t need Lizzie to buy us beer!

Seth:Lol.

Lana:What’s your task for this week so I can figure out my schedule?

Seth:Oh, I have therapy this week so you get a break, I guess.

Lana:Oh. Cool. Well, therapy is great, so have fun?

Lana:Good luck?

Lana:What’s the proper therapy send-off?

Seth:Lol. Not sure there is one, but thanks for the thought.

Seth:What are you planning for next week?

Lana:Sadly, it’s time to kiss a stranger.

Seth:Oh. Not sure I want to be there for that one.

Lana:Yeah, I figured. I’ll take May. She’ll make me follow through.

Seth:Have fun?

Seth:Good luck?

Lana:Ha. Thanks.

Seth:I guess I’ll see you when I see you?

Lana:That is how that works.

Seth:Good night, Parker.

Lana:Good night, Seth.
