“It’s a key,” he said.

“If you’re gonna live here, you should probably have one.”

“I already have one,” he said, reaching for his key chain. “You gave it to me after my mom walked in on us.” He frowned, shuffling through. “Wait. It’s missing.”

“That’s because I stole it back so I could make this grand gesture, which… you didn’t get.” I pouted, shoving the key into his hand.

He slow-blinked at me. “Wait. You want me to move in with you?”

A goofy grin stole across my lips. “I want more—way more, actually—but Joel said I couldn’t propose just yet.”

Shhh. Don’t tell anyone, but I might have already bought a ring.

Walker lowered his head, the tips of his ears flushing something wonderful.

“Walk?”

He looked up, his eyes glittering. “Yeah. Hell yeah, Oz. I’ll move in with you. And I can’t wait for more,” he said, pulling me down for a deep, perfect kiss.

We continued kissing for God knew how long, swaying to the light jazz.

“Good,” I whispered against his kiss-swollen lips. “Because I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
