“And you, Arwyn Hopkin, are one lucky, luckyman.”

“Oh, I know,” he said. “That’s a given.”

“Is it?” I asked, turning back to find him fumbling with his clothes.

He smiled at me, a true and beautiful smile. It was a reaction I wanted from him every day for the rest of our lives. Most importantly, I wanted to see that he felt worthy of the reaction, the feeling.

“Yes,” Arwyn said, closing the space between us and taking my face in his hands. “You saved me, Hector.”

“You saved me,” I replied, bringing my smile to his. “Remember that.”

“Nope,” Arwyn replied, voice soft as a whisper. “Because if I remembered it, I wouldn’t get the pleasure of hearing you say it, over and over. I love you.”

“Well that’s bloody convenient isn’t it,” I replied, “because I love you too. What do you say, fancy grinding to some good music on the dance floor?”

“I fancy you,” Arwyn replied. “But yes, a drink and dance sounds sufficient.”

“Excellent,” I replied, walking out of the bathroom with Arwyn’s hand in mine. “Because we’re going to need our energy stores filled back up for later.”

“What’s later?”

I winked at him. “Plan B.”

“Fuck.”

“Yes, fuck indeed.”
