She rolls her eyes, and I can’t help but laugh at how ridiculous this entire situation is.
“You’re telling me that Earth, your planet, is not being well taken care of? That you don’t have even the cheapest of these fabrics?” I gesture to the suit she’s wearing as I pull my pants back on. I don’t miss the way her gaze drops to my cock as I tuck it into my waistband. “And you’re upset about possibly moving to Sueva and having land of your own on a planet that’s well taken care of and probably the safest in the galaxy?”
Her face scrunches up, and I can tell that she’s genuinely struggling with this.
I tilt my head. “Or is it that you’re so offended by the idea of spending your life with me?”
She doesn’t answer, but her eyes go wide, and I wonder if I’ve pushed her too hard.
“Forget it,” I tell her, shaking my head. “Please don’t answer that.”
“Good morning,” a familiar voice booms, and we both spin around to find the AI hologram projected in front of us.
“Since you have chosen to destroy your dome, I can only assume that means that you’re ready to tackle today’s challenge.”
He gives a low whistle. “And boy, is it going to be a doozy.”
He grins at us, spreading his hands wide.
“Ah, fuck,” Lily says. “I do not like the sound of that.”
“Do not worry, Lily,” I tell her. “I have not trimmed my claws yet, and I won’t until you’re ready to mate with me. I will protect you from whatever this challenge is.”
I spread my wings out wide, making myself as menacing as possible. A breeze blows my hair out of my face, and I shake my head.
“Calm down, Fabio,” Lily says. “I can take care of myself.”
She absolutely cannot, but she looks so fierce that I don’t dare laugh at her.
Externally, at least.
