The sound of running water coming from the bathroom woke me a few hours later. Hawk wasn’t beside me in bed, but the door to the bathroom was slightly ajar and I could see his shadow moving around. A glance at the clock beside the bed told me it was just after two in the morning. I yawned and stretched...
Only to wish I that hadn’t. My lower body was one big ache. When I moved, my inner muscles tightened and protested and I bit back a small moan as I tried to find a more comfortable position.
The bathroom door opened and Hawk came out with a towel wrapped around his narrow waist. Seeing that I was awake, he smiled. “Hey there, beautiful.” He sat down on the edge of the bed beside of me and bent down to brush his lips over mine.
The kiss was softer, sweeter than any he’d ever given me before, yet it affected me in a more powerful way than if he’d ravaged my mouth. When he lifted his head I was panting, wanting him just as badly as I had only a few hours before. Between my legs, my sex protested and I couldn’t help the small, pain-filled whimper that escaped.
Green eyes darkened with concern. “How bad are you hurting?”
“I’m okay,” I told him, but he lifted a skeptical brow at me and I sighed. “What do you expect? You’re a very big man, Hawk Hannigan.” He chuckled as I’d hoped he would and brushed his lips over mine once more, but when I tried to deepen the kiss, he stood. “Where are you going?” I whined, wanting him to cuddle with me.
“Just relax, baby. I’m going to take care of you.”
From the bathroom, I heard the water turning on again and a few minutes later smelled the bubble bath that I used every now and then. I listened as he moved around, already knowing what he was doing, and falling even more in love with my biker for taking care of me like this. I’d never thought a member of the Angel’s Halo MC would ever run me a bubble bath, let alone the MC’s new VP. It was a part of Hawk that I’d come to realize I was the only one that got to see.
After a few minutes, he came back into our room and lifted my naked body from our bed. I loved being in his arms, but my body protested at the movement. I refused to moan as he shifted me in his arms and carried me into the bathroom. The room was full of steam and the sweet smell of the bubbles still rising in the hot water.
Carefully, as if he was afraid he might break me, Hawk placed me in the bathtub. The heat from the water felt delicious on my aching muscles, but caused my recently abused inner tissue to sting for a minute. I bit my lip to keep my whimper in, not wanting him to know his sweet gesture had just caused me agonizing pain.
The sting quickly faded, thankfully, and I relaxed my back in the tub. Hawk disappeared and came back several long minutes later with a bottle of water and several Advil. He was wearing a pair of pajama bottoms, so I knew he must have gone downstairs.
I felt pink filling my cheeks as I realized his sister was most likely up and had probably heard us making love earlier.

ng my blush, Hawk chuckled. “Relax. Raven didn’t hear us. These walls are pretty thick. Which was how she and Bash were able to sneak around for so long when she was younger without us realizing it.”
I relaxed again. “I guess we were pretty loud earlier,” I murmured before taking another sip of water.
Hawk crouched down beside the tub on his knees, his eyes raking over the tops of my breasts since they were the only part of my body exposed because of the thick bubbles. My nipples tightened at his caressing gaze. “I loved having you screaming in my ear. Don’t ever hold back, baby.”
