She lifted her head enough to see his amazing eyes. “You don’t?”
“No. I have a better position for you.”
She arched an eyebrow. “Dare I ask what it is?”
“I want you to become my wife.”
She relaxed in his arms again. “Ah, marriage.” She sighed. “I believe I can accept that position. However, I wonder ifyoucan handle that.”
He laughed and kissed her forehead. “Keeping up with you will be worth every moment. Waking up next to you each day will make me the happiest man on earth.”
Her cheeks hurt from grinning so hard. “Our marriage will certainly be an adventure.”
He tilted her face up and brushed his lips across hers. “One I look forward to with every breath I take.”
As Maxey kissed him, she was filled with love. Should she tell him how many children she wanted or wait until later? And what about the treasure? Then again, she had already found her heart’s treasure.
