“This is about everyone and what’s best for the Organisation. Having that information about whether we are moving forward or not with Callum will benefit all of us.”

My eyes drifted over to Aria, fast asleep in bed. She always looked so peaceful when she slept. Tipping my head back, I briefly closed my eyes, then rubbed my eyelids to try to remove the weight from them. My limbs were heavy, like they no longer wanted to move.

“Fine. Tomorrow morning.”

I cut the call.

Removing the rest of my clothes, I climbed into bed next to Aria.

Leaning over, I gently stroked her hair out of her face and faintly pressed my lips against her forehead.

“Please forgive me,” I said, barely a whisper.

Woolwich.

I hadn’t been here since Aria lived here. It wasn’t a place I visited frequently, only to see her before she moved in with me.

I’d left her at home on her own again.

I was officially a shit boyfriend.

I always knew I would be, but I’d never wanted to treat her like this. I needed to make it up to her. She should be taking priority over all of this right now, but there was so much I needed to do here. Last time I was fully in, I didn’t have anything else to worry about. It was different now. I had Aria. I had Luxe Corp. There was no room for half-hearted men in this line of business, because that was when things started to crumble—or worse, people ended up getting killed.

A man who was distracted could destroy everything in the blink of an eye.

“You sure this is the place?” Callum asked, looking out the passenger window.

I’d spoken to Soran and the rest of the guys a week ago about Callum supplying the firearms to Matt. I trusted their judgment, and after Matt explained to them the benefits it would have not only on him, but all of us, they were happy to have him on side.

Having someone like him with the Organisation, not against it, meant less trouble—and right now, that was exactly what I wanted.

“I know London like the back of my hand. No one could hide in these streets without me finding them.”

He let out a silent laugh. “If you say so.”

“Get out of the fucking car.”

I’d decided that if Callum was going to supply these firearms, then he should be at the deal, because something like this would be the perfect opportunity to fuck us over. At least if he were here, he’d get fucked, too.

Ending up with a bullet in his head would be my favourite outcome.

Callum stepped out and closed the door. Before I opened my own, Matt placed his hand on my shoulder, and I turned to look at him.

“He’s got a good supply. We’d be stupid not to use him.” Matt squeezed my shoulder, then stepped out.

I let out a groan. He was right, not that I’d admit it to Callum. I didn’t need him thinking he’d got one over on me.

“Archie’s just text. He said he’s inside.”

Matt grabbed the case of firearms from the boot of the car, and we started to walk towards the lockup.

Archie, the man we were meeting at one of his lockups, was low-level. He’d never bought from us before and could normally be found around Dartford. It should be a straightforward, quick deal. It fucking better be—all I wanted was to get home to Aria. I wasn’t in the mood for shit right now.

We banged on the metal door, and it soon opened. A man, strapped, looked us over, then gave us a nod, allowing us to proceed. My eyes darted around. There wasn’t much in here. A few tables, chairs, and some stacking shelves. It was tiny.
