“That still happens,” Miles says.

“I’m sure that’ll stop once I move in with him.” Luan chuckles, saying it so easily that it gives me a heart attack. I mean, fuck yes, he’s moving in with me. In a few months, hopefully. I’d take him moving in about yesterday, but I suppose in a few months is fine.

“You’re moving in together?!” Sofia shrieks, a huge smile plastering onto her face.

“Sometime in the next year, probably,” I confirm. It could be January, or December, or any month in-between. We have no exact date set, it all comes down to Luan becausehe’sthe one actually moving across the country. It’s a huge step, so I won’t rush him even if I want to.

“FUCK YES!” Sofia jumps right into Luan’s arms, ignoringmethere. Well, technically I am not in my boyfriend’s arms but he’s in mine, so what the fuck? “Oh, my God. I cannotwaitto have you with useveryTaco Sunday. Colin is still trying to convince Miles to buy a karaoke machine to add some extra fun. Imagine all the fun we can have when the two of us team up against Aaron and Grey, and then we make them weep!”

Ah, yeah… the karaoke machine only Colin wants, and Sofia, apparently. Oh, and Brooke loves the idea of making grown ass men sing Barbie songs. I’m all in for that.

“Language, Sofia!” Brooke yells from across the rooftop, and when all of us turn to look at Brooke, she’s pointing at her three-year-old brother sound asleep on one of the chairs. Oh to be a careless kid again.

“Yes, language, Sofia.” Miles taps his hand on her back before he dismisses himself to go over to his kid because Reece must be standing a little too close to our precious little princess again. They’re both barely eight years old, and yet Reece keeps trying to kiss Brooke because he’s oh so in love with her.

Of course Miles won’t let this happen. He’d rather die than let anyone kiss Brooke. Though, I suppose I get it at that age.

But that reminds me. “Did Aaron ever try to kiss you when you were like six years old?” I ask Sofia. Knowing Aaron now, it wouldn’t surprise me. He was obsessed with her then, and he is now.

Sofia laughs. “All the time. But I never let it happen because of Lily. I thought she’d hate me if I fell in love with Aaron. But you knowkids, it wasn’tlovethe way it is now. It was just curiosity and maybe a little crush.”

“Nuh-uh,” Aaron disagrees when he just so shows up beside her. “I knew we’d be together when I was three years old, so don’t go on saying it was just a crush. I was in love with you from the second I saw you.”

“You threw a candy cane at me when you ‘first saw me’.” Sounds like something Aaron would do.

“A candy cane oflove, Icicle. I thought you were hungry.” Aaron puts an arm around her waist, pulling her right into his body. “I also threw a croissant, so…”

Only Aaron, I’m telling you.

“That croissant was probably a week old. It was hard as fuck.”

Aaron shrugs. “I never cleared out my hockey bag.” I bet because he was well, three years old.

“You started hockey atthreeyears old?” Luan asks. “I barely even liked walking at that age.”But I bet he loved talking.

“Yeah, it was a toddler skating course. We didn’t play hockey much, just learned how to skate until we were like almost five and could start playing. I was in one skating group with my sister and that thing next to me.”

Sofia rolls her eyes, and I bet she’s ready to throw her husband off the building.
