“That’s it. Now finish your food.”

She rolled her eyes again, but took another bite of her food anyway. For some reason she slowed down on her eating again, and I could tell her mind was somewhere else now.

“Would you ever consider me to be like… your sole person to be with?” she asked.

I cocked a brow and glanced at her.

“Like from a BDSM standpoint?” she added quickly.

I leaned back against the counter, folding the towel in my hand.

“…you want to be my collar?”

She hesitated then nodded. “…yeah.”

I didn’t even take a second. “No.”

She blinked.

“What? Why? You already agreed to the rest of summer. And it’s not like we haven’t done anything like it before.”

I pushed off the counter, walking over to grab her plate. The conversation was already over.

“That’s different,” I explained. “Us messing around and you being mine is very different.”

“But… I wanna be yours completely. I want the full experience.”

“You ain’t ready for that.”

“I am though.”

“You’re not,” I said calmly. “You don’t listen, Rabbit. I have no need for a sub who can’t submit.”

Her head snapped back. “I can submit!”

“Yeah right.”

“I can!”

I set her plate in the sink and turned to look at her.

“See,” I said, pointing at her lightly, “you already failing. ’Cause I already spoke and you not listening.”

She pouted instantly. Lips pushed out, arms crossing like a real brat.

I shook my head. “You’re done.”

I left her ass in the kitchen and went into the living room, needing a second away from her mouth before she saidsomething reckless. I grabbed a cigar from the box on the table, cut it slow, then lit it.

The first pull sat heavy in my chest.

I leaned back into the couch, exhaling toward the ceiling, letting the quiet settle in for a second.

She wanted to be my collar.

Tuh. She barely listened when I told her to finish her food. I rubbed my jaw, staring ahead. It shouldn’t even be something I entertained. Before I could sit on it too long a hand slid down my chest from behind.

I didn’t move right away or stop her.
