After the way you just did me?I nodded. “Yes. I love you.”
He laughed out loud this time.
“Well then. I love you too, Bunny.”
He removed himself from me and I collapsed into the soaked bed. Coated in both our releases.
“I’m ‘bout to go shower. You coming?”
I managed to gather myself enough to look him over.
He’s a fit motherfucker. And tatted too. I knew any more time spent with him would end with me in a wheelchair.
“I need a minute.”
He laughed deeply again. “Aight. Take your time then.”
After he shut the bathroom door, I laid there staring at nothing and feeling everything. The post nut clarity set in.
I exhaled and pushed myself up.
Yeah… no.
Men like him? They didn’t keep you overnight. They enjoyed you, then dismissed you politely and I refused to be sitting around, waiting for that to happen.
So I got up, gathered my clothes, slipped back into them piece by piece and fixed myself in the mirror.
By the time I reached for my bag, the bathroom door opened.
Steam rolled out first, then him. His eyes landed on me immediately.
“You’re leaving?”
I didn’t turn right away.
I adjusted my earring and checked myself once more in the mirror. “That’s the plan.”
He walked a little further into the room, towel slung low on his hips, still damp from the shower. “Stay.”
“Was that a command?”
“Was that a question?”
I finally turned, giving him a small smile. “Let’s be honest here. You don’t really strike me as the ‘stay’ type.”
“So this is about me, and not your obsessive need to disregard anything I say,” he replied. “I don’t know why you’re so opposed to structure, Rabbit.”
I shrugged, slipping my bag over my shoulder. “I like to keep things unpredictable.”
He studied me for a second.
Then he walked over to the desk, grabbed something, and held it out to me.
A card?
“Take it.”
I glanced at it, then at him. “What is this?”
