Chuckling, I ran my hand down my face again and internally told my dick to calm the fuck down. Everything about this fucking girl had me ready to nut up. Closing my eyes for a second, I reminded myself why Solana was down here. That was the only thing that was stopping me from dropping dick in her.

“Unfortunately, Solana, baby… You don’t get to decide that,” I said, widening my stance in the middle of the room.

“I do! It’s my life, Shio! That’s what you and my father do not understand! I can decide what I want for my life, and I have decided I do not want you to fuck with me.” She crossed her arms. “¡Vete! No quiero que me jodas. (Go! I don’t want you to fuck with me.)”

I clenched my jaw before swiping my nose. “Aye. Be clear, me and yo’ bitch-ass daddy don’t belong in the same sentence.”

Silence surrounded us, and I started to walk out, but my feet wouldn’t move.

“Look, Solana. I know it’s your life. But?—”

“But, what? But, because… What’s with all the… ehh, clauses?”

“Butyou can’t decide my feelings.” I stared her down as she finally dragged her eyes to look at me.

“So you have feelings for me, Shio?”

“Your pussy still on my lips, Solana. What you think?”

“That means nothing.”

“You lived in my house.”

“Si, before you dragged me out. Bahati lives there now. Uriah has her mail addressed to your home.”

“You giving Uriah way too much power.”

“I saw you with her! You love her.”

“I don’t love shit! You saw me gettin’ my dick wet! That’s what the fuck you saw. And her fuckin’ mail is addressed there because her husband used to own the house. I bought the house from her ex-husband. She was the one who gave me the house tour. Stop assumin’ shit. Sometimes, things aren’t what they appear to be. Lesson number five, remember? Ask, but don’t beg. You know how to communicate… In two languages.”

“But you prefer I do so in English, and sometimes, it gets confusing.” She shrugged with her smart ass, knowing damn well she wasn’t confused by the languages. It didn’t take Solana long to catch on to shit. I had learned that about her within the first few weeks that she was in my house.

“I could say the same about you, you know…” she said.

My brow rose after her words settled. “The same?”

“Si… Stop assuming. You give me these lessons, but none of them apply to you. Just ask, Shio. You neveraskedme if the drugs were mine. You assumed.” Her eyes watered, and I could feel my body growing heavy. “I would never put your daughter in harm’s way.”

I threw my head back and sighed. All these feelings were too much. My day had been shitty since I learned that Goal wasgoing to bring the product to my cabin. I needed to hit up my cousins to let them know I had fucked up at least a fourth of those bricks. I kissed my teeth when I realized I was going to have to pay for that shit so that the count wouldn’t be short.

“Stop crying, Solana. I know you wouldn’t harm my daughter intentionally.”

She slapped the mattress. “You know those drugs were not mine, but I am here!”

“Ion know shit except yo’ ass need to be here! You need fuckin’ help! I can’t take you to a facility because that shit not secure enough, and I can’t…”

“There goes the clauses again. You can’t what, Shio?”

“Nuttin’.”

She huffed, tears slowly falling down her face. “Shio. You give me nothing.”

“These days, outside of materials, I got nothing to give.”

“You have your time!”

Barely. I spend half my time watching your ass, so you won’t die.
