“But you weren’t even into men before!” I protest. “It’s not the same, Killi. I’ve been dating guys since I was like fourteen.”

“Jesus Christ . . .” My brother rolls his eyes again, moving his attention towards Jacob after. They share a complicit look that I don’t find very funny. Although it’s cute as hell.

“Who the hell is Caleb, anyway?” Jacob asks, sitting up on the bed and raising his eyebrows at us.

“His human whore!”

“What? You were dating a human?” Jacob’s eyes widen in a mixture of shock and amusement as he stares at my brother. Fucker, he’s so cute with that half smile on his lips.

“We weren’t dating, just barely hooking up,” Killien says, still letting my fingers dig painfully into his jaw. “It was something I did when I couldn’t come to terms with my feelings . . .”

“That’s not a valid excuse! You should have come tomybed, not found some copycat version of me to fuck, Killien.”

“Copycat?” Jacob’s half smile turns into a full mischievous grin. “You mean that Caleb looks like Damien? I can’t believe this . . .”

“Just leave Caleb alone, it was my mistake. He didn’t do anything wrong.” Killien sighs, dodging Jacob’s question.

“I’ll have to look around for your stunt double.” Jacob looks right into my eyes as he tickles my waist, and we both laugh. Not that I’m really amused by what he just said, but I can’t help it.

“Don’t you fucking dare,” I warn him, although my threat doesn’t land properly, since I’m still laughing like a prick.

Jacob gets off the bed, his naked body exposed for us in all its glory. Killien and I go silent for a minute, watching him pick up his clothes from the wooden floor and stroll towards the bathroom clad in white marble. He’s all muscles, ink, and long, messy almost-black hair.

The tattoo on his back is probably my favorite. An abstract piece of twisting and morphing black shapes that fade into smoke as they reach his shoulders. On the small of his back, there’s a broken anatomic heart, from which the black shapes emerge. It’s stunning, like the rest of him.

I wanna drag him back into bed with us for another round of blood and cock sucking. Almost like I don’t want Jacob to leave. He’s been here all weekend, participating in my wicked games. Each time he leaves, I find myself wishing he lived closer. Maybe he could move his tattoo shop to Vegas, so we can see him more often. What’s left for him in Phoenix, anyway? A small group of friends that he barely hangs out with?

I look at my brother, whose eyes are lingering on Jacob’s naked ass. I think he might agree with me. No, I’m sure he does.

An evil grin extends across my face.

“Leaving so soon?” I ask, making Jacob stop in his tracks under the doorway to the ensuite. His silhouette sticks out from the pristine white walls of our room. Killien should thank me for a few more seconds of that perfect ass on full display for him.

“I have clients tomorrow, honey,” he says. My heart contracts painfully when he calls me that. I think he knows, and does it on purpose to get back at me. Which I may or may not deserve.

“You’d have more clients if your shop was here in Vegas . . .” I can feel Killien’s eyes on me the moment I say those words, but I don’t look away from Jacob’s majestic back.

“What?” he asks, turning his head slightly to stare at me over his shoulder.

“Well, it’s a different kind of city, you know?” I say matter-of-factly. “I bet your business would grow a lot in a place like Vegas. It’s like a playground, there are so many opportunities to explore. And . . . we’re here.”

Killien is grinning beside me, turning his attention to the naked creature that feels so damn good stuck between us. I knew he’d be on board, of course. He’s really into the game we’re playing here. He’s into all my games, even if he tries to pretend not to.

“What are you suggesting?” Jacob’s dark gaze is fixed on my eyes, and I can’t help but bite my lower lip at the intensity of it.

“Damien’s right,” Killien says, his excitement obvious in the tone of his voice. It might work in our favor, though, because Jacob has a thing for him. It’s different from his feelings towards me, and it’s not tarnished by betrayal. “Why don’t you move to Vegas? You could start over, open your shop here. There’s a lot for our kind in this city, and we’d be much closer.”

Jacob’s eyes soften the second they land on Killien, just like I imagined they would. He’s still bitter about what I did, but that doesn’t affect the way he feels about my brother. Their bond is new, and it’s blossoming beautifully right in front of my eyes. The sexual tension between them is freaking delicious; they don’t want to let go. And, honestly, neither do I.

I thought I’d be jealous of Killien being with another vampire, but it turns out I just love watching him. As long as the boundaries are clear and certain things remain exclusive to us, of course.

The silence stretches for a few seconds too long, but it’s not uncomfortable. We give Jacob time to ponder his options while I grab Killien’s hand and hold it in mine. He rests his head on my shoulder as we continue to stare at the heavily tattooed Adonis who stands naked in our bedroom. Maybe we should take a picture, print it, and hang it on the wall.

“I’ll think about it,” Jacob says, finally breaking the silence.

As he walks into the bathroom, I turn to Killien and mouth the wordsgot him. He giggles softly and kisses my neck. My precious ginger angel has become my partner in crime. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
