Then I feel a finger hit back where her tongue was, and she pushes it inside of me while she sucks my cock.
The sound that leaves me barely sounds human.
She takes it all like it’s exactly what she’s been waiting for. When I’m done, she pops off me and sits back on her heels.
Kayla pushes herself up from the floor and slowly rises to her feet.
For a moment, she just stands there, catching her breath.
Then she looks down at me and smiles. It’s not sweet or shy, but smug, like she just won something.
She wipes the corner of her mouth with the back of her hand, completely unbothered by what just happened.
My brain is still catching up, trying to process the fact that I was absolutely certain I was the one in control.
Kayla glances down at me again, one eyebrow lifting slightly.
“Well,” she says lightly, voice still a little breathless, “that was interesting data.”
Then she turns and just … walks away. No hesitation or even a second glance.
She grabs her laptop from the coffee table like she just finished answering an email and strolls down the hallway toward her bedroom.
I hear her door close a second later, leaving me sitting on the couch, completely wrecked.
For a few seconds, I just lean back against the cushions, dragging a hand down my face while my breathing slowly steadies.
What the hell just happened?
A laugh escapes me under my breath. Half disbelief, half something else entirely.
Because the truth is … that might have been the single most incredible thing that’s happened to me in a very long time.
My head falls back against the couch, but right behind the lingering euphoria is something far more dangerous.
I got played.
Kayla just walked into my living room, flipped the entire situation on its head … and left like she didn’t care about the aftermath.
My jaw tightens because I know that move. I’ve used it on other people for years.
Control the moment, walk away first, and leave them thinking about you.
Now she’s done it to me.
I sit forward slowly, elbows resting on my knees as I stare toward the hallway where she disappeared.
A slow smile spreads across my face because if Kayla thinks she just ended the experiment …
She’s very, very wrong.
If anything, she just made it a lot more interesting.
Chapter Twenty-Three
Kayla
The second the door closes, every ounce of control I had disappears. I press my back against the door and suck in a sharp breath.
