He stopped him.
“I’m not wrong. That man in there is your brother. I wish I could heal the rift between mine, but I can’t. He doesn’t give a shit if you’re sleeping with a man. He’s fighting to save you.”
Ethan sighed.
“Okay. I have this.”
Getting out, they walked up the path, and that’s when Ethan saw it.
A bicycle.
Immediately, his heart sank, and he freaked the fuck out.
“Oh, fuck no,” he said, running the rest of the way to the door, hoping and praying he was wrong.
Only, he knew he wouldn’t be.
There was a disease lurking around the cabin, and it wanted a victim.
Callen.
As his man took off, Gene stared, not sure what was going on, but he followed. Much to his horror, he saw Ethan basically break into his brother’s house.
What?
Was?
This?
Chasing after him, Gene didn’t catch him but instead got a front row seat to the melee.
Oh, and it was definitely that.
Inside, Ethan stormed toward the bedroom and flung the door open. Inside, he found exactly what he thought he was going to find.
A naked whore getting ready to trap his brother.
Oh.
Fuck.
No.
“Over my goddamn dead body,” he said, grabbing the mostly naked Native woman by the hair.
Blackhawk pulled her off of his brother, and not gently, either. This was absolutely not happening on his watch.
As she was pulled from his body, Kaya screeched in shock. It was clear she wasn’t ready for it.
Beneath her, Ethan saw the result of their earlier fight, because Callen was mostly drunk and disorderly.
“You’re fucking out of your mind,” he said to Kaya, as he pulled her from the room by her hair.
Outside the room, Gene…
He stared in horror.
Was his man dragging a woman out of his brother’s room by the hair to toss her out into the snow?
