“Did you punch him?!” Reece gasped. “Nicky! Did you go see him before seeing me?”
At that, Nick frowned and averted his eyes. “I had to make sure he learned his place. You won’t have to worry about him again.”
“You didn’t have to do that…” Reece rubbed his nose, a feeble attempt to hide his smug smile.
“Yeah?” Nick gently flicked Reece’s cock, and only then did he realize he was hard. “I dunno. Since it turns you on, I’m thinking I should go into detail.”
“Stop it, Nicky,” Reece huffed, face flushed. “But… If you want to share…”
Nick snorted, the sound light with happy amusement. “Wanna share a lot of shit with you, Kitten.”
A whole life apparently, which Reece still couldn’t believe. He was probably dreaming.
“We can start here,” Nick said, stealing a kiss. “Then talk about you coming with me. ‘Til you decide what you want to do.”
“And even then?” Because Reece would never want to leave him, not for any amount of time longer than he’d have to. A day or two even seemed like too much.
“Even then.”
Epilogue
“First game and those two are facing off. I still can’t believe it,” Reece said as he walked into the arena with Alex, heading toward his court-side seat.
They’d enjoyed a delicious buffet of food together, but the game would begin before long, so they were all ready to get settled in. Nick and Declan would be playing one another, kicking off their NBA careers and the season with a match people would no doubt be talking about for years to come.
“Oh, he saw me,” Reece said, giggling when he noticed Nick find him in the crowd and immediately start making his way over off the court. Reece went to the front row of seats, grinning when Nick didn’t hesitate to dip down and greet him with a kiss. “Hey, Nicky, ready to play?”
“Ask me that and I might think you’re talking about something other than basketball.”
“Well,” Reece teased, laughing when Nick nudged him. “Have a good game, Nicky.”
“Will, Kitten,” Nick said, stole another kiss, then jogged back onto the court.
Reece sighed, his smile permanently etched on his face.
Nick announced his relationship with Reece as soon as he was back in L.A., and he was always going out of his way to make it known that Reece belonged to him—and that he belonged to Reece—even though he was working so hard.
The NBA was nothing like any basketball Nick or any of them played before. Even the initial practices hadn’t been easy. Reece scheduled his own work to be completed during practice hours aside from his fashion shows, which he never missed due to Nick’s insistence. Days without him weren’t the best, but knowing Kent was with Nick made Reece feel better.
Knowing the games would take a lot out of Nick, Reece only chose the best and most convenient jobs for himself, wanting plenty of time to be available when Nick was off or if he needed him.
And he would never miss one of Nick’s games, no matter what. To think this was only the start of his NBA career…
All of them…
Seeing Nick and Declan go at it with the stakes so much higher kept Reece’s heart racing from the start of the game to the end. Reece didn’t want Declan to lose but he wanted Nick to win even more, and he was so proud of both of them for giving it their all. They looked so hot going one-on-one, sweating more with each quarter and yet managing to come off even more powerfully. It sure was something to witness. In the end, Nick’s team won by two points thanks to a buzzer-beater that one of Nick’s teammates pulled off.
Reece couldn’t wait to celebrate.
Celebrating started by waiting in the back for Nick, where Reece stood with some wives and girlfriends of the other players. They were all sweet and used the opportunity to take selfies with Reece. They already had a group chat and Reece was honestly happy to be a part of it.
“There you are.”
Reece turned from the girls at Nick’s voice, his whole face lighting up to greet him and congratulate him, but Nick’s lips were hard on his before he could say anything—before he could even properly look at Nick.
“Nicky, babe, you’ll scare the ladies,” Reece teased softly.
“I don’t give a fu—”
