Chapter six

No Hitter

Derby

I was beside myself with excitement. The things Godwin had come up with on our nightly video chats were tantalizing, but actually having his big hands on me, and his hot cock in me, were even better.I couldn’t think of anything else during the hour-long drive up to see him again.

Soon enough, I pulled into the driveaway that led to the two-car garage of my mother’s new home.It was beautiful.I’d seen pictures, but looking at the final product in person was amazing. It shouldn’t have been a surprise. After all, I’d seen Godwin’s amazing home, but I nearly squealed with delight, getting out of the car.Momma was going to love the big porch.

But where was Godwin?

I texted him but got no answer.

I made my way to the front door and peered in the little square side windows that lined the entryway.I could see all the way to the back of the house where the big sliders were. We’d put sod in the yard beyond the deck, but now it screamed for something more.

A car pulling in the drive had me turning to see Godwin’s SUV.He was here.I jogged over to where he got out of the vehicle and jumped into his arms.“The house is beautiful.”

“Mmm...”He kissed the side of my face.“Wait until you see the rest of it.”

My feet came back to the ground, and he ushered me back to the house.“I can’t wait.”

Godwin hadn’t lied. The floors were luxurious, flowing throughout the space. The kitchen was perfect with a giant island and quartz countertop, perfect for baking. He’d included the double ovens we’d asked for in a pleasing and functional manner. The laundry had been placed off the master, but in the hallway, so guests could use it as well without traipsing through her room.It was a split plan, so her room and bathroom with the laundry was on one side of the main living area, and two guest rooms shared the second bathroom on the other side. All of it was what we discussed, but it was altogether different being inside the house in person.Godwin and his team had hit a home run on this one.

“Derby, let’s go outside.”He slid the glass doors apart. It was like having the entire wall open to the deck.

“Fuck. This came out nice.I can see patio furniture out here.”I waved my finger around where I could imagine lounge chairs and maybe a table.

“This has to be my favorite deck space we’ve ever done.”Godwin held a hand up to his forehead, blocking the sun from his eyes as he looked out to the yard.“You need a pool.”

“Why didn’t you offer that before?”

He turned to face me.“We don’t do pools.I’ll give you the contact info for the guy who did mine.”

“You have a pool?Why didn’t I see that?”

“You only saw the bedroom. You’ve only been there once.”Godwin chuckled.“But, yeah, we can get in my pool later today. After you see that bedroom again.”

“Sounds like a plan.”

“I’d like to take you on a date first. If everything is good here, we can go back to my office to sign papers, then it’s all yours. If you’re sticking around town, of course.”

“Date?”

“That’s what you got out of all that?”

I bounced on the balls of my feet.“Yes.Date.Where’re we going? It’s the middle of the day.”

“You’ll see.Don’t worry, it’ll be sporty and fun.”

I let out a whoop and followed him back to the front of the house. After making sure I’d seen everything, he locked up, then pulled me into his chest. He kissed the top of my head.“I’ll see you back at my office.”

“Okay.”Then I lunged and stole the kiss I’d wanted.

Godwin chuckled into my mouth. We fit together.I didn’t know how or why, but we did.For once, I wasn’t going to fight it.

Our date—oh my God.He’d said sporty, but I’d never pictured goofy golf.“This isn’t a sport,” I complained half-heartedly as he got our clubs and balls.

“It is.It’s golf.That’s a sport.”
