“And why’s that?” my dad asks.

They’re all up in my dating business, it seems.

“I have to talk to Luke about this. And I want to do that in person, which I’ll do in Vegas next week.”

Mom sighs, still on a high of happiness. Lily has that effect on people.

“Oh, when he’s having the biggest weekend of his life?” Joseph says.

Luke could win the championship in Las Vegas; that’s why we’re going.

“What? You think I shouldn’t talk to him?”

Joseph shrugs his shoulders and says that it’s essential that Luke is on top of his game.

Hell, maybe this is a bad idea.

I may wait until after the race.

That means three more days of fucking agony. But what’s three more days in the big scheme of things?

The good thing about having my family visit is that it’s easier to keep my hands off of Lily as we’re not alone— ever.

That’s equally as frustrating. I haven’t had many moments alone with her after they arrived.

This is for the best for us.

This way, we’ll be less tempted to cross that invincible line.

On Saturday, I’m packing up my bag for my game when my phone beeps.

Lily:Should I wear your jersey tonight? I don’t know what your family will think.

Cute.

Again, they would probably be surprised if she didn’t wear my jersey, as they’re all going to be wearing the same thing.

The Bennet family is all out in the supporter attire.

Sebastian:Absolutely.

I say goodbye to my family and stand in the elevator when I decide to make a quick pit stop at her apartment.

I want a moment with her alone.

When she opens the door, she seems surprised to see me but happy, nevertheless.

As soon as I see the jersey across her body, I sport a similar smile to hers.

Seeing her in that outfit will always be a favourite.

“Nice outfit,” I comment, making my way into her apartment.

“Thanks. It was rather expensive,” she jokes.

She’s wearing our home jersey.
