Snow shrugged. “It’s not so bad here. I’ve enjoyed my time with you and your friends.”
“Not friends,” Vor corrected. “Fellow inmates.”
“I can tell which of the men you consider more than a fellow inmate,” Snow chided.
“Oh? Can you now?”
Snow nodded. “Shen is your favorite. You don’t want to like Hwa, but you do. Owan makes you chuckle, even when you fight it tooth and nail.”
One of Vor’s brows rose higher. “And the others?”
“You don’t trust Greer, not fully. And Lazlo and Klaus keep to themselves… and you leave them to it.”
Vor’s lips curled at the corners.“Spoton.”
“I rather agree with your opinion of them, too, though I think I like Hwa and Owan a wee bit more than you do, though.”
“And they, and Shen, like you very much, as well,” Vor whispered.
A niggle of doubt swept through Snow. “I sense you have a large soft spot for Shen.”
Vor frowned. “No more than any of the others.”
Snow wasn’t so sure of that. He lifted a brow and eyed his mate.
“Okay,yes,I’m attracted to Shen.Sexually.My romantic feelings are for you alone. I don’t see him as a partner. I see him as someone fun I like to fuck as often as possible—and now that you’re here in my life, he and I would only be together if you were there with me. Seeing the excitement in your eyes turns me on more than it ever did with him alone.”
Snow kissed Vor’s lips. “Thank you for being honest with me.”
“I wanted to tell you sooner but feared it might scare you.”
Snow shook his head. “Your desires don’t scare me. I want to know what excites you. What brings you pleasure. I want to know the naughty thoughts circling inside your mind.”
“And I want those things from you, too.”
Snow smiled. “Well, the next time you fuck Shen, I want you to bend him in half like you do me instead of from behind.”
“I can do that,” Vor whispered.
Snow met Vor’s gaze. “I like it when you watch other alphas fuck me. I can see the lust grow in your eyes the harder they push me. While I enjoy their bodies, it’s still truly you I’m trying to please.”
“I like that,” Vor replied, smiling broadly. He threaded a hand through Snow’s curls and brought him as high up as possible to offer a chaste kiss.
“That’s all I get?” Snow asked.
“We’re still locked,” Vor replied. “If I pull too much more, Iwillhurt you.”
As if it heard Vor, his knot slowly deflated and he was able to pull from Snow’s body. Snow crawled higher and demanded the kiss he should’ve gotten. Their tongues warred, Snow quickly growing heated again.
“You should rest,” Vor said, pulling his mouth from Snow’s. “The next heat will soon be upon us.”
Snow sighed but did as Vor suggested. Glancing at the window, he noticed the morning grew brighter by the second. “Do you think we’ll have time for another before you have to leave?”
“I don’t know,” Vor said, closing his eyes. “I hope so. But rest for now… and we’ll see what happens.”
Snow wasn’tsure how much time had passed when the first hints of his second wave woke him. The sun was higher in the sky, too high for Vor to still be there. Yet when Snow turned in the bed, his alpha was there beside him, wide awake and watching him.
Joy filled Snow’s heart. “Your rut is overriding the curse?”
