Oh, I was about to land myself in jail because I was about to punch this goofy mothafucka right in his face. Balling my right hand into a fist, my father’s voice shouted my name before I could act out what I was thinking.

“Phillipe!” Tomasso appeared just in time, giving me a warning look as he glared at my fist.

“Officer Stanley, please, this is my son Phillipe. He is the one you wish to speak with.” I looked over at my father, confused as to why the police would need to speak with me. I looked at the policeman whom I towered over easily.

“What do you want with me?” I asked him with a cold look on my face.

“Please, come this way,” the officer led the way into the living room, which had a few more officers. Around the dining table were my mother, Snow, and Sofia. There were two other officers and a guy dressed casually with a face that, for some odd reason, looked sort of familiar. I didn’t know why this person seemed like someone I knew, because I knew I’d never seen him before.

“Phillipe, you should be enjoying your honeymoon instead of your father having to call you for this nonsense,” my mother waved her hand around in a dramatic way. Always acting the part of nothing more than a well-behaved housewife.

“What’s this about?” I stood a couple of steps away from the table, looking at the officers and then at Snow. My father came to stand next to me.

“This is about my missing brother, and your family having something to do with his disappearance!” The strange man with the familiar face bellowed at the top of his lungs. I gave him my full attention because I was confused as a mothafucka.

“I’m sorry, who the fuck are you?” I asked, shoving my hands inside my jeans pocket, trying really hard to remember this man.

“Mr. Jeremy, please, we’ll ask the questions. Phillipe Ricci… Jeremy Stevenson is claiming his brother, Jamieson, can’t be found after meeting with you a few days ago,” Officer Stanley addressed me. I narrowed my eyes at Jeremy, and it hit me why I thought I knew him. He looked just like his brother, that snake of a man, Jamieson. I was a whizz when it came to keeping a poker face, so that’s what I did. Once I realized that this was the sibling of the man whom I fed to my pigs.

“I’m sorry, who?” I curled my mouth in as I rubbed my chin.

“Don’t fuck with me! My little brother is missing, and the last place his phone pinged was at this location!” Jeremy took his phone out and waved it around in the air. I cursed in Italian over and over in my head, fuck technology! This was why I hated the internet: it was way too easy to access people’s information.

“Oh, right, that Jamieson,” I said, grabbing my forehead as I continued my Oscar-worthy performance. “Shit, yeah, you’re right. He was here,” I wagged my index finger at Jeremy. My mother’s face got a worried look for just a quick moment before she regained her composure.

“So he was here?” The officer seated around the table asked. I nodded my head in agreement.

“Yes, he was. He wanted to buy one of my pigs.” I saw Snow lift his hand to cover his mouth to try to hide his laughter.

“A pig? Why the fuck would my brother want to purchase a pig?” Jeremy asked, knowing that I was full of shit.

“How the fuck would I know. He came off as a lonely mothafucka; I thought he wanted to buy Porky Pig for some company. I’m not here to judge,” I lifted my palms in the air defensively.

“This is bull-shit. He’s fucking lying. My brother lives in a studio apartment. Where the fuck will he keep a fucking pig?” Jeremy was really upset about his missing brother, which was too bad.

“What do you want me to say?” I shrugged my shoulders.

“So you have a pig farm where you sell pigs?” Officer Stanley continued.

“Actually, no. Jamieson heard about the pigs from my uncle, who he works with, and learned that I rear them. So he contacted me about buying one. He told me he’d get back to me, but I never heard from him again. I really am sorry to hear he’s missing. I really do hope you’ll find him.” I put on my best sympathetic face to Jeremy. I could tell he didn’t believe a word that I was saying, but he had no choice.

“Can’t you search the premises? I’m telling you this is the last location my brother was at. I checked my phone the day he went missing, and he was right here.” Jeremy said, waving his phone around.

“I do believe thepolizia(police) will need a warrant for that,” I informed Jamieson’s brother.

“Mr. Jeremy, we’ll keep in touch. We’ll do everything we can to find your brother,” the officers seated at the table said, as they both stood up to leave.

“Phillipe, we’ll keep in touch also, and if you remember anything else, give me a call. I left my contact information with your father,” Officer Stanley said, scanning me thoughtfully.

“Sure, whatever you need. Don’t forget if you need to buy a pig, I’m your man, I’ll give you a good price,” I plastered a fake smile on my lips.

“You think you’re so slick. This isn’t over. I know you did something to my brother,” Jeremy said, pointing his finger at me as he walked by. I remained calm as he glowered at me. The next thing I knew, he lunged for me, tackling me to the ground. He didn’t have the upper hand for long before I wrapped my arm around his neck and choked his ass out. He was spluttering and kicking his feet out as I held him in a bear hug with my arm firmly on his neck.

It took Snow and two of the officers to pull me off, Jeremy. I would have killed that mothafucka if they weren’t quick enough. I got up from the floor, feeling revved up. I was ready to fuck this fool up.

“You must have seen a coffin you liked?” I told him as he doubled over, coughing, trying to catch his breath. I adjusted the elastic band in my hair so that my hair would move out of my face. Snow and my father stayed close to me to make sure I didn’t try anything.

“I promise, I’ll find out what you did to my brother!” Jeremy shouted as the officers dragged him away from the house. My father walked them to the front door. I took a seat at the table; my mother’s eyes were glued on me. We sat in silence until we knew for sure the officers were gone.
