“What are my rules?” I asked because I just knew this phone came with a bunch of fucking dos and don’ts.

“You should know by now what you should and shouldn’t say. Feel free to let Mia and your sister know that you’re in Italy. You’re not allowed to speak about my family and what we do. Have them believe that we own legitimate businesses and nothing else. Do you understand me?” I nodded my head quickly to let him know I got it.

“I’ll also need you to delete all your social media accounts. Facebook, Instagram, all that shit. My family doesn't fuck with those things. It makes it way too easy for people to track you and know where the fuck you are. Do you know that’s how I found you that night? The night we took you from that bar, you posted on your Instagram, and there I was.”

I listened to what Buddha expected me to do, as I stared at my device. Posting that I was at the bar was how he showed up, which was something I never even thought about. I really didn’t want to just delete all my shit; I had over 5k followers on Instagram.

“Are you seriously fucking hesitating, Dior? Gimme that mothafucking phone,” Buddha snatched the cell from my hand so fast, I didn’t have time to think.

“No, I wasn’t hesitating. I promise I’ll delete all my socials,” I pleaded with him, trying to take my phone back, but he held it above his head, knowing that I couldn’t reach it.

“Delete that shit now in front of me,” he said, handing me my phone. Taking it, I felt sick to my stomach as I unlocked it. One by one, I deactivated my social media accounts so Buddha could see.

“Good girl. Now, I gotta go. When I get back, I’ll take you to dinner or something. My number is saved asmarito, just in case you need me for anything,” Buddha said, as he began walking toward the room door.

“Marito? What does that mean?” I asked, walking closely behind him, dreading that he was about to leave me.

“Husband,” Buddha replied, and I couldn’t even lie, that made me smile and blush.

“Will you be long?” I asked as he opened the door. Turning around, Buddha smiled and then reached for me.

“I’ll try my best to get back as soon as I can. Come here,” he grabbed behind my neck, and he pulled me toward him.brushing his lips over mine and then using the tip of his tongue to encourage me to open my mouth. I was more than happy to oblige, and we stood there enjoying each other’s lips.

“Be good, use the safety lock on the door when I leave,” that was the last thing Buddha said before pulling back from me and walking down the corridor. Tomasso was staying on the floor below, as was Luca and his father. Doing as he asked, I locked the door and then immediately dialed Chanel’s number.

“Dior?” She answered on the first ring. The smile on my face couldn’t be any brighter once I heard my sister’s voice.

“I told you I’d call. I miss you so much. How have you been?” I gushed, walking outside so I could sit on the balcony and soak in the Tuscany sun.

“I miss you too. I wish you’d come home,” I frowned once I heard how sad she sounded.

“Hey, what’s wrong? Talk to me, is everything alright?” I became really concerned because my sister was everything to me.

“Daddy hasn’t come to get me from Aunty Debbie’s. I miss my room,” hearing that Lewis still had Chanel staying over at his sister’s house really pissed me off.

“Chanel, where’s aunty now?”

“She’s watching her stories in the TV room,” Chanel replied in a sad tone. My heart broke into a million pieces.

“Um, is she treating you alright? You’re eating and everything?” I had no doubt that Chanel was being properly cared for, but I still had to ask.

“Yeah, she’s nice as always, but I just miss my room really bad.”

“Ok, I promise I’ll figure this out soon. Tell me, have you learned anything else about sharks lately?” I changed the topic to take both our minds off me not being there.

“Yes, do you know that the oldest shark is estimated to be over 100 years old?”

“What? No way…” I sat on that phone with my sister for over an hour, listening to all her stories about things she learned. Before ending the call, I told her I would call her every day so she wouldn’t miss me as much. By the time our conversation ended, one thing I knew for certain. If Lewis didn’t get Chanel from his sister’s house, I had to figure out a way to get my sister to come stay with Buddha and me.

Next, I called Mia, she was so geeked when she saw my name pop up on her screen. She screamed my damn ear off when I told her I was in Italy. I promised her repeatedly that I was safe and Buddha wasn’t harming me in any way. Mia and I spoke for literally the remainder of the day. I was really careful about what I said regarding the Riccis.

“Hold on, Mia, I’m getting another call,” I told her before looking to see who it was. I blushed when the nameMaritoflashed on my screen.

“Hey,” I switched the call immediately.

“How’s your day going?” Buddha’s deep voice made my spine tingle.

“Good, I’m talking to Mia, and don’t worry, I’m being very careful about what I say. Are you coming back soon?” I asked, eager for him to walk through the door.
