Rett kisses my shoulder. “Roll to the side.”
JJ gingerly moves us onto our sides. Rett fits up tight against my back. As JJ slides out of me. The ache of emptiness has me moving to pull him back in.
JJ chuckles, “I love the eagerness.” He kisses my forehead. “We’re not done…”
Goosebumps rise as their hands run over my hips, my thighs. Rett moves my leg forward, his fingers moving over my clit, then inside me. I’m so wet, I feel slickness on my legs.
“I can’t wait any longer,” Rett rasps against my neck.
He moves differently than JJ, plunging into me in one swift motion, cradling me back against his chest. My eyes roll back. JJ’s fingers find my clit. “My God, you’re fucking beautiful, Biz.”
Every muscle in my body feels tense, wound tight, like a heady spiral I can’t control.
And then it breaks.
I gasp, throwing my head back and grabbing ahold of JJ’s arms.
Nothing has ever felt this intimate, this all-consuming. I’ve never felt… so free.
The touches don’t stop, resting between their bodies. Rett moves my hair away from my neck, placing light kisses just under my ear. JJ’s hands rest on my hips, his head leaning against mine.
“That was… fuck, that was...” Rett says in a dazed voice, trying to find words for what we just did. I’m not sure they exist.
Thank you. My God, thank you for being everything you both are.
“Can we just freeze time?” JJ’s voice sounds sleepy, his accent deeper as he nuzzles closer to me.
“Hey.” I turn slightly to look at Rett. “Are you feeling better?” Most of the trip he’d been hopped up on cold medication and drowsy, though I haven’t seen him so much as sniffle or cough.
He smirks slightly. “It’s a miracle?”
JJ rolls his eyes. “You can tell her.”
He makes a face, then sighs. “I have hidden talents.”
“Mm, keep ‘em hidden,” JJ cracks. “No, idiot, tell her about your little mission.”
“Always coming in strong with the jokes.”
“Well, the art of banter has been lost, and the world is a darker place for it.” JJ rubs his eye before yawning. I cuddle into him not wanting to let go.
“Right. So anyway...” It feels like Rett is stalling. “I’m not sick… or I wasn’t sick. I wanted Jen to stay away from me. Plus, I came along to look for something. A treasure hunt of sorts.”
Aunt Amy expressed how irritated she was that people come here with the sole purpose of searching for a treasure. I can see why he’d keep it a secret.
“But wait… what?”
We all shift, pulling the covers up around us.
Rett sighs. “I can’t really tell you details.” He looks at JJ. “Right?”
An icy finger of dread runs through me. A feeling like I’ve been down this road before…
“Sacrifice the one… sacrifice the one.”
