“I would if you took a damn breather,” I laughed.

“Shit, you’re taking too long,” she fussed.

I laughed because she was being her extra self as usual. Once she calmed down, I ran down the events of everything and gave her enough details of our night together that had her cheering in my ear like I’d just won the lottery.

“Yes, bitch! I told you all you had to do was slide that pussy across that nigga’s face and he wouldn’t be thinking about them hoes,” she cheered.

“You’re so damn ignorant,” I laughed as I pulled up to my apartment.

“I’m so for real, but I’m happy for you, friend.”

“You’re happy that I got some dick?” I questioned as I walked up the stairs and inside my house.

“Yeah, but I’m talking about you and Titan. Y’all are good for each other,” she complimented.

I sat my things down before I responded to her.

“You do remember that the relationship part isn’t real, right?” I reminded her.

“Mhm, and I’ain looking for a rich nigga with a big dick. Bitch bye. That man has been on you before all this PR bullshit. I say enjoy it because you deserve it and some good dick in the process,” she added.

“You know what? I’m hanging up. I gotta go to work tonight and I need a nap. I’ll call you tomorrow because I know you’ll be asleep when I get off.”

We said our goodbyes, and I hung up and headed straight to the living room to finish eating my food. When I was done, I cleaned up my mess and showered before I lay down to catch a nap before work.

I almost overslept for work, but I made it just in time. When I clocked in and went to the bar, Geno was up there with Asia and Laci.

“Girl, I thought you wasn’t coming tonight, and I was gonna be stuck with Bridezilla,” Asia joked.

“I almost overslept. You know I’m usually about fifteen minutes early,” I countered as I tied my apron around my waist.

“I guess you think fucking Titan would get you special privileges,” Laci spat.

“And I guess you fucking the nigga that empties the trash ain’t working out too well for you either, huh?” I smirked.

“Aye, y’all chill out,” Geno said as he tried to stifle his laugh.

“Tell her broad ass back that. I hope she’s not working with me tonight because I’m not in the mood to deal with customers and wildlife,” I shot back just to be petty.

“Chill, Cady. Asia is gonna be down here with you tonight,” Geno informed.

“Good.”

I went and got my area set up and got ready for the shift. Halfway through I got a text from Titan.

Titan: Tink...

I laughed because instead of saying what he had to say, he always started our conversations like this.

Hey... how’s your trip?

After their game in San Diego, he had to fly to New York for a campaign with Kinetiq.

Titan: It was straight. I’m getting ready to leave and head back. You coming to my spot?

I’m at work right now. I’ll be here until around two.
