I went to the employee lounge and put my things inside of my locker. Asia was coming inside when I was walking out. She was about the only one I tolerated here. All these other hoes were hating, and I didn’t have time for that shit. I was cordial with Stacks because he was a cool boss, but they swore I was fucking him. Unlike them, I had morals, and that man had a wife and kids at home. I had enough shit going on.

“Girl, you’re right on time. A few Cannons and Generals just came in, and you know what that means.” She stuck her tongue out and started twerking.

“It means you’re gone have one of them niggas dick down your throat before the end of the night,” I joked, but wasn’t lying.

“Shit, I could only hope.” We shared a laugh and headed out to get this night started.

As I was tying my apron around my waist, a solid body collided into mine, almost knocking me down, but I didn’t fall because he was fast with his hands. When I looked up, it was Titan Samuels. I was flustered for a second before I got my bearings together.

“Damn, shorty. Watch where you going.” He flashed his pearly white smile that showcased a deep dimple that I’m sure got him plenty of pussy.

“My bad. I didn’t see you,” I rushed out.

I stood and watched his eyes roam over my frame. Our work attire required crop tops and skorts that left nothing to the imagination, with fishnets and black boots.

“Shit, you good.” He licked his lips.

I didn’t know what to say, so I didn’t say anything. After a few seconds, I just walked off because the interaction was weird. When I got to the front to get my assignment for the night, I noticed I had the first VIP section. I’m pretty sure that’s where the team was, and I was glad I got that section.

“It’s mighty funny that you get the section with the football team and I got stuck on the lower level,” my co-worker Laci spat.

“Take that up with Stacks... not me,” I countered.

“Take what up with me?” Stacks appeared around the corner looking between me and Laci.

“Stacks, how come Cady gets the first VIP, and I’m stuck down here?” Laci folded her arms across her breasts.

“I mean... I thought the sign outside saidStacks On Deck, and the last time I checked... I’m Stacks.” He pointed at himself. “But to entertain you, didn’t you just work that same section last week?” He cocked his head to the side.

She didn’t respond.

“Aight, then,” he asserted. “Wassup, Cady? You good?” he asked.

I called out of work when I got the news about my financial situation with school, and this was my first day back, so his concern was genuine because I rarely called out.

“Yeah, I’m good,” I lied.

“Bet, now y’all get to work,” he laughed as he walked off.

Once he was gone, I headed upstairs to check on whoever was up there. When I made it, the music seemed a little louder than it was in the main area, and it wasn’t three people up here. I noticed one was Trey Walker from The Generals, Cannon Hills Basketball team. The blogs said he and Titan were best friends, so it wasn’t surprising that they would be in the same place at the same time.

“Hey, guys. I’m Cady. What can I get y’all?” I asked the trio.

Before I could respond, I was cut off by somebody invading my space.

“Damn, I get to look at your fine ass all night?” I turned my head and Titan was in my personal space. He may have been fine and all, but I didn’t play about my space.

“Uhh... you can back up.” I frowned.

“Damn Sam. She ain’t fucking with you,” his teammate joked. When I got a good look, I noticed it was Ja’Kobe Raines.

I rolled my eyes and asked them again what they wanted to drink.

“Bring us a bottle of 1942 and some chips and salsa,” Trey said.

“Will that be all?” I asked.

“Nah, you can come bring your fine ass back and kick it with your boy,” Titan mentioned, not taking his eyes off me.
