He freezes. “Don’t say shit like that to me.”

I laugh. I do feel sorry for her mate. Damon is going to be on his ass all the time to make sure he is doing everything the right way. “She will have all of the protection she needs.”

“Yeah, she fucking will. I think we need to get you pregnant again, with another boy.”

I snort. “Baby, it could be a girl.”

His eyes widen at the idea of another little girl. “I think we need to adopt.”

“You are crazy.”

He looks up at me. “Yeah, for you.”

“You are sweet. I love you.”

“I love you.”

I hear little feet running across the floor, then the sound of Axel crying. “I will get them both.” Damon gets out of bed, and he comes back a minute later with Hope on his hip and Axel on his arm. He sets Hope down on the bed and climbs in on the other side.

“Want to watch some TV?” I ask Hope.

She nods and I turn on a princess movie. She lays her head on my shoulder.

“This is the life, Damon,” I whisper.

“You guys are my life.” He touches the top of Hope’s head and kisses my temple.

Yeah, this is the life. It’s beautiful.

Three Years Later

Farren

Our world has changed before our very eyes. Damon is traveling from pack to pack to make sure they are treating their packmates as they should. He has people living in those packs, monitoring them. If there are problems, we show up and take care of it. This has created tensions, but it’s also changed everyone’s lives. Little by little, everything has changed for the better. And while we have been improving the wolf shifter world, Jackson has taken that role among the bears, making sure everyone is treated fairly.

“MOMMY!” Hope is running with Axel holding her hand. They are both naked.

“Have you guys been shifting?”

“Yes! So much fun!” Hope jumps up and down. She is the happiest little girl. I am glad that, because of her age, she does not remember everything that she went through. When she shifted for the first time, we were surprised to find out that she is a panther. Blew our minds.

Three-year-old Axel is right by her side all the time; they can’t be separated.

A door slams and down comes Aiden with Brantley right behind him. I hear a squeal and see Maverick and Elizabeth’s daughter, Emma, running across the field. These kids rule everything here. They are so close and I love that. I love that they can all grow up together and be best friends.

“Hi, my friends.” Emma says as she gets closer. She just turned two, but she is a pure genius and way beyond her years.

“Hi, how are you?” Hope says like she is a grown woman. Aiden grabs Axel and they start rolling around in the grass, wrestling. This happens multiple times a day.

Damon, believe it or not, grows more handsome by the day and is becoming even more alpha. And did I mention possessive? Especially right now, since I am pregnant with another little boy. We decided to hold off for a couple of years until everything slowed down, but then it seemed that the whole pack was meeting their mates and having kids all at once.

Our pack is now the biggest in the world, our lands stretching for miles and miles. We have our own school and a medical facility—women come from all over to have their pups here. I am proud of the way everything has happened, and I am proud of Damon. He has put so much work into everything, and I have pushed him to do whatever he wants.

“How is my Moon?” He wraps his arms around me from behind, and his hands rest on my stomach. The baby kicks.

“I think someone is wanting to meet their daddy.” I tilt my head back and kiss his cheek. He grins, rubbing my stomach.

“My son is ready to run free.” He kisses my temple, and we watch the kids play with each other. This is happiness; this is what we worked so hard for.
