Chapter 15

Trick

“How’s my sister?” Crash demands as I storm into the basement of the clubhouse, my jaw locked tight, my body trembling with how much anger is running through me.

"She’s alright, has a headache from the headbutt, but otherwise fine,” I grunt as I stride to the tool wall, scanning each tool deliberately.

As a doctor, I took an oath to save lives, no matter the crimes of those I treated. As much as I hated this filth sleeping in the hospital, I knew he was going to be put to sleep. But the fucker signed his early death warrant when he laid hands on my wife so instead of getting a needle, he’s getting torture.

“That was one hell of a headbutt, though,” Spike mutters, “You taught my daughter well.”

“Alright, buttercup, in this position, I don’t want you to struggle,” I say as I breathe heavily against her ear, keeping one hand around her throat, my other arm around her waist.

Clark shivers, and I try to push the act away.

I’m shirtless, my body is covered in sweat, and she’s in a sports bra and leggings, her body covered in sweat too.

We’ve been training for two hours, something I demanded after a boy at school cornered her.

The kid has been beaten up but that isn’t the point, she needs to learn to defend herself.

I feel my cock harden as she moves slightly, and I grit my teeth as confusion hits me.

She’s gorgeous. I know this. I’ve always had this thing for her. But fuck, Clark is my best friend's sister. She’s my friend. And I’m fucked up. I shouldn’t be having this reaction to her. Fuck, she’s two years younger than me!

Trying to push away whatever I’m feeling, I say, “Throw your head back. Don’t worry—I’ll move mine, so you don’t connect. Throw your head back, use your body weight to shove me back, then run!”

“He trained with her every fucking weekend after that fuckface tried cornering her at school, refusing to allow anyone else to train her, including her brother. He should have realized then that she was his,” Cage says, and I grunt, not denying his words as I eye the pickaxe.

I blocked all those feelings out, and as soon as the session ended, it was like my mind refused to remember what I was feeling then and there, but I remember now, and yeah, I’m pissed at myself for not claiming her.

“Crusher?” I say as I pick up the pickaxe and feel the weight of it.

“Fucker knocked his guard out and went on the run,” he says with a sneer, and I smirk as I look at Tom Dary, whose eyes are watching me like a hawk, his mouth taped up.

“I do believe, axes are your thing, Mr. Dary,” I say as I walk over to him, “Isn’t that how you chopped that kid's body up after you assaulted him?”

The man begins to shake and mumbles his pleas through the tape, and I grin.

Fucker shouldn’t have gone after my wife.

“Trick, you sure you don’t want me to kill the fucker?” I hear Spike ask, and the brothers chuckle while I remind him, “She’s my wife,” and he grumbles under his breath, but I don’t look his way. Instead, I stare at the soon-to-be-dead man as I lift the axe.

He shakes his head and tries to move his body, but he’s tied down to a chair. I keep my eyes locked on him, then swing the axe down. The blade slices through all four of his fingers.

He screams through the tape as his body jolts and his fingers drop to the floor, blood gushing. I don’t give him a reprieve and swing the axe down onto his other hand, which I have tied tightly to the table. He tries to curl his fingers away, but he isn't quick enough. I slice all four off again. His screams grow louder through the tape, tears pouring down his face as his body jerks and I watch with a smirk.

“You touched my wife. You threatened my wife,” I say coldly as I lean forward. “You really should have listened to my wife…”

“He likes to say ‘my wife’ a lot, doesn’t he?” Crash says with humor, and I give him the middle finger as Dad says, “He’s allowing himself to feel what he’s always felt for her…”

He sounds upset, but I don’t look at him or offer him comfort. I don’t see the point, as far as I’m concerned, he should have protected me better growing up.

Bones comes up behind the fucker and rips the tape off, and he openly cries, causing Bones to roll his eyes.

“If I remember correctly, he wasn’t very tough in prison either, took it up the ass a lot,” Cage says, and I chuckle, I can’t help it as the man's face pales.

“I’m s-sorry,” he chokes, and I allow my face to grow cold as I lift the axe again, and he pleads, “You’re a doctor…”
