… fuck you…

“Mommy,” Jagger rushes up to me, from where Caroline is crouched down talking to him with I’m assuming her twins, as I walk into the house and hugs me before shouting, “fuck off!” Standing, staring at my son in complete shock, I finally look up as I hear shuffling to see Ash smacking Axe in the chest a few times before he shoves him out of the room, and I hear the back door slam shut.

“I left him with them for an hour.” I look over at Caroline, who smirks before I kneel. “Jagger.” I look at him with hard eyes. “That’s a bad word that we do not use when talking to mommy.” His bottom lip sticks out and his eyes become sad as I just smile at him and bring him in for a hug. “It’s okay, bug. You didn’t know. I’m not mad at you.”

“I just,” he pauses as he tries not to cry, “Uncle Ash...”

“That makes more sense.” Caroline says from across the room, and I just look up to her, smirking.

“It’s okay, bug. He’s also the one who taught me that word.”

“So, I can’t say it?” He looks confused.

“No.” I shake my head as I slowly stand back up. “Now, did you meet your cousins?”

“Yeah,” he smiles.

“Do you want to introduce me to them?” His head nods quickly as he grabs a hold of my hand and walks me across the living room to where Caroline is still sitting on the ground.

“I have 3 boys.” She laughs, looking over at me.

“You’re the one who made another one with him.” She laughs.

“But look how cute they are.” I laugh as she gets up from the ground and hugs me. “Missed you, kiddo.”

“Missed you, too.” She laughs before she glances around and then looks back at me.

“You couldn’t fucking mention it?” I sway from one leg to the other.

“I didn’t want to put you in that position where you had to not say anything.” I leave out the fact that I thought he knew, and she would have freaked out on him.

“How mad was he?”

“Oh, he was pretty mad. I’m pretty sure he’s still mad, but it’s going to come in spells.” I shrug before Jag tugs on my hand.

“Mooom,” he groans until I look down at him. “This is Zane and Zeke.”

“Hi Jagger’s mom.” The boys say in unison, making me smile.

“Call me Ella.” Then the boys follow the larger children out the backdoor to play. Looking back to Caroline, I laugh, “Zane and Zeke?”

She shrugs before laughing again. “I needed to get away from all the ‘A’ names.” I can’t help but laugh out loud again. “I haven’t seen those two like that since you left.” She pauses, not really talking to me. “I think with Ash meeting Jag, he realized how much of an asshole he was then.” Then she actually looks at me and speaks. “When’s your dad getting here?” She asks me.

“Soon, he was pretty much right behind me. Is everyone going to freak out when they see him pull in?” I ask her, and she shakes her head.

“Probably not.” She just shrugs. “Everyone from the clubhouse forgets we’re back here most of the time.” She shrugs again. “The girls are in pre-k now, so Billie and Lucy have to get up early with them and both of the guys are at the club tonight.” I just slowly nod as I hear the door open up again. “Oz!” Care smiles as she hugs my father, who then looks around, confused. “Oh, Ash taught your grandson the word fuck this afternoon and when he reiterated it to Ella. My husband, the coward that he is, pushed Axe out the backdoor with him in a panic. The boys went to play out there.” She laughs as dad does as well.

“Let me meet my grandson.” My dad says through a grin as he walks out the backdoor and I stop glancing over at Caroline.

“What did you say to them after I left?” I pause. “Or is it just that enough time passed, and they all got over it?”

“A little of both, maybe?” She shrugs. “I told your dad that he couldn’t raise you 500 feet from an MC, have them help raise you, and expect you not to fall for one, eventually.” I just look away. “Khan did not like hearing that.” I can’t help but kind of laugh, especially hearing the sentence come out in a laugh from her. “I told Ash that he wasn’t really mad, as much as he was hurt because you guys didn’t tell him. When he got back from Axe’s a week later, he told me I was right because Axe had told him you guys had talked about it and you were going to. It just wasn’t the right time. The two of them haven’t really been the same since, until tonight when I got home, but Ash wasn’t wanting to kill him anymore.” She smirks before nodding to the back door as we walk out and I see my father standing, staring at Jag as he plays with the twins and the overgrown boys standoff talking.

“Jesus, he looks just like him.”

“I know.” I mutter, rolling my eyes, “He’s got the attitude, too… apparently that shit is genetic.” I say, causing Caroline to laugh out. “Jag,” I call over to my son, who looks up, huffs, and glares at us. I give him a stern look before he stands up and makes his way over to us.
