“What?”
“Rabbi.” I say, nodding to the camera. Sadie grips a hold of my arm tighter.
“Fucking can’t be. We put him away.” Tally murmurs as he steps up next to us.
“Looks like not for long.”
“Make sure to note where we come out, so you know how to get back.” She nods her head. Closing my eyes for a second, I exhale as the rest of the club follows suite and I hear the cocking of the guns all around me. “Let’s go.” I whisper before I push the panel at the bottom of the wall crouch down, looking out first before I slid out of it. Reaching back, I help Sadie out before I stand, and the rest of the men file out. Sadie remains in the middle of our group and as I lead the men through the room. It’s the room that at least one man will be coming back to later tonight. “Try to keep them alive.” I whisper as we reach a door and I peer through it. Not seeing anyone. Why would they even be fucking using the basement right now?
The idea for the basement was something I thought of after seeing the Midnight Syn’s room in the basement of their garage, expect I already had multiple rooms down here. So, we ended up with 4 identical rooms. All we really needed to add was a drain in the floor and a stockpile of torture equipment. Once we get to the hallway, I nod for the 3 to follow me before the rest of the group heads towards the right to go up to the main floor, the race floor.
Making sure that Sadie remains behind me, and with Venom slightly behind to one side of her while Enzo is on the opposite of her, slightly to the other side. Before pushing the door to the stairwell open, I stop, glancing over, and quietly saying, “Enzo, if shit gets bad, get her out of here. Make her leave. She has the keys to the bike.” He nods his head. “Take her back to the house and make sure she’s safe.” He nods his head again. “Okay, let’s go.” We push the door open checking up the stair well, holding my hand up telling them to stop, listening, trying to see if I can hear anyone.
“Yeah, thanks man.” I hear come from above us and then the door shut. Motioning to the men, telling them I’m going to go up and to make sure she stays down with them. Positioning the barrel up to my face I start to move up the stairs, quietly so I don’t bring any attention to the fact that we’re here, just yet.
“We’re in place, let us know when you’re going in.” I hear through my comm.
I’m not even sure if he is still in the stairwell, but I would bet that he’s guarding the offices.
J isn’t here. He’ll be the last that I take out. He’ll know I’m fucking coming for him. He’ll watch his backstabbing fucking brothers go down before him.
Actually, he’d probably sacrifice a couple of them to save his own skin. He’s no goddamn leader. I see the image of Sadie on her knees in front of me flinching as I help her up and I rage. I clear the first flight of stairs, passing the door that takes it out to the race floor. Grabbing one of the nightsticks off my belt, I, as quietly as possible, extend it, and jam it in the door handle, twisting it and locking it into place on the doorframe. I hear feet on the stairs, and I pause, looking up but they stop directly above my head. I can hear the humming and singing under his breath as I’m sure he’s a prospect and having to keep watch, bored out of his mind.
It’s not his fault.
Rounding the corner, I start up the second flight of stairs, gun back up in front of my face. Rounding the corner, I pause, and slowly come around the corner, looking up through the railing. Seeing him drumming his hands on the railing. I can see the back of the cut as he moves like he doesn’t have a care in the world. The prospect rocker is exactly what I thought.
I barely pull the trigger, catching him in the shoulder as I round the corner and rush up the stirs instantly pointing the barrel up to catch anyone else if they are up there. No one, so I spin back around with the barrel in his face. “You fucking scream, you make any movements. I’ll fucking put one between your eyes. Do you understand me?” Slowly, he nods his head. “Good.” I let my gun lower slightly, but enough to still blow his head off if he so much as flinches in the wrong direction.
“On our way. You guys don’t move yet.” I hear Venom say to everyone as the three sets of feet are on the stairs
“You shot me!”
“I shot you in the shoulder, it’s fine, through and through, see,” I point to the wall at the lodged bullet. “My shits not with you. You get off lucky this time. How many are up there?”
“8”
“8?” I ask back.
“Yeah, national charter is in town.”Fuck. I make sure to keep my face stoic, though.
“Okay. And how many on the main floor.”
“There’s 8 that are on guard so spread out between the main and the perimeter.” He tells me as I nod, but it still doesn’t explain how many others.
“Cooper?!” I hear Sadie say from behind me.
“Sadie.” He says and I roll my fucking eyes as she moves over and crouches down in front of him. “I saw you at the clubhouse and I was trying to find you but they wouldn’t leave me alone long enough too.”
“What?” She looks at him. “When did you join?”
“What?” I ask, looking over at him quickly.
“I knew she was at their clubhouse and was trying to find her but couldn’t get close.”
“Wait, did you prospect just to get her out of there?”
“Yeah.” He nods his head.
