I love you. The thought alone has me hesitating in my movements, staring at her leaving through the door and knowing of the blatant lie that I just told her.

There are no guarantees in this life… fuck, in this world. I know that as she’s rushing out the warehouse, being pulled by Ella, and she looks back at me, with slight fear in her eyes. She also knows that nothings guaranteed.

Which means that the look on her face as our eyes are locked that she could very well be thinking exactly what I am.

Our eyes stay locked until, I shake my head and mouth. “Go.” She quickly nods her head before she turns and her and Ella start to run out of the warehouse and to where they parked.

I watch as my brothers quickly lock up the warehouse. Pulling the doors closed and turning the locks, with the press of 1 button all racing shit is pulled up into the rafters and shutting off all the lights.

I can see the flashing lights coming through the high windows on the doors as I look at the guys. Twirling my finger in the air before we’re all moving towards the stairwell, quickly heading down the couple of floors, and pushing into the basement, the hallway runs down with a noticeable door at the end.

I always forget how much it looks like a regular hallway unit I come in from this way. Unless you know that the rooms are down here, you wouldn’t be able to tell. Venom opens the first door, we move into it, and through the false wall, leading into the tunnel.

I stop as everyone comes into the tunnel and continue to rush through it to the end.

“What are you doing?” Venom shouts at me as he comes back up, and I just watch the cameras.

I watch as the cops ram the fence. He tugs on my kutte, but I still don’t move.

I watch as the SUV slams into the large warehouse door.

I just shake my head. They better fucking replace it all.

We can fix all of this, but I’m also watching the destruction of my effort and hard work be torn apart so shortly after I have gotten it back.

“Did we leave any trace?” I ask him before he shakes his head.

“No.” He pauses, “we have all the cash, all the books—”

“You’re fucking kidding me.” I cut him off as I step into the computer, staring closer at the video footage.

“What?”

“I’m going to fucking put him in the ground.” I snap out as I watch J get out of the SUV. Even if he hates me, and is pissed at me, there’s still a code that we’re supposed to follow.

Patches over Badges.

This motherfucker rolled over on everyone to save a bit of his fucking own skin.

Only he has no fucking clue what I had here. He had no idea how to run it or what to do about it. Because much like the security system at the club house, I made sure he never had access to all of it.

Fuck me over.

I’ll fucking cut you to pieces.

And I’m not speaking fucking figuratively.

“Ro come on; they’ll be looking around.” I nod my head before pulling the plug on the system, quickly moving into the armory, and grabbing a couple of extra clips, tossing Venom a comms, and a couple of flash bangs.

J’s a fucking slimy bastard. I know the second that we pop up on him he’ll do whatever he has to do to save himself, regardless of who he fucks over.

A worthless excuse for a leader, if I do say so myself, as a leader you go down with the fucking ship, not jump off a let everyone drown behind you.

Chapter Thirty

RO

I knew Venom was right when he said they’ll be poking around, which is why I’m thankful as we pass the caravan of feds, that I have stashed my cut into the saddlebag and that Venom, as well as, the rest of my brothers, who weren’t out away from the grounds, are stashed in the van in front of me.
