“What kind of understanding?”
It makes me laugh until she scoots up and presses herself against me. Groaning out, I wrap my arms around her, gripping her ass. “You don’t need to worry about that.”
Her eyes grow wider as she slams her mouth to mine, cutting off my sentence. Pressing hard against me as she grinds her hips into mine, causing a groan to rumble out.
As she winces, I pull back, watching her. Her hand coming up and holding onto her ribs.
“Yeah, this isn’t a good idea.” I whisper to her, reaching up and brushing the lock of hair back behind her ear.
“Is it that bad?”
“It’s not great.” Leaning into her and lightly pressing a kiss to her lips. “Why don’t you go take a shower and I’ll take you home?”
“I have a vague memory of taking one last night.” She giggles.
“You did.”
“So why take another one?”
“I know you’re smart enough to figure it out. I need a minute to get my head on straight.”
“Nah…” she giggles, looking at me again. “How about you take one with me?”
My rational brain tells me that’s a terrible idea. I won’t be able to keep my hands off her, but we’re already entering the bathroom when I realize my cock decided.
“Jesus…” Drew trails as she looks at herself in the mirror, reaching up and touching the bruising on the left side of her face from where I can only assume she jumped from the moving car. “It looks awful.” Her voice quiets as she looks over at me.
“Nah, it’s badass.”
“What?” she laughs, looking back at herself in the mirror. “I look like I got the shit beat out of me.”
“No.” Moving over to where she stands, looking over her shoulder at her in the mirror. “It looks like you put up a helluva fight. And if you had seen him, you wouldn’t question that you did.”
She tries to fight the small smirk on her face.
“I hate to tell you, but you’re fucking scary, Sketch.”
“Are you scared of me?”
“Terrified.”
The smirk grows across her face now as I turn, stepping backover to the shower and turning on the water, trying to talk my dick down already from imagining the water dripping off her body.
“I am going to need you to cover some of that up if you see your brother.”
“Why?”
“Cause he may have helped me out last night.”
A quiet gasp comes out before she whispers. “Ow.”
Looking over at her, my mouth falls open. If I questioned my decision in the last few hours about what I did after she fell asleep, seeing her like this in front of me would erase any doubt. Bruises trail down her body, covering more of her than I realized.
“It’s worse.” She whispers, looking back up at me, and I can see the sadness spreading across her face, water lining her eyes.
Moving out of the shower, I leave a trail of water as I move over to her. Wrapping my arms and pulling her close. Her naked body pressed against mine.
“What am I gonna do when I run into him again?” Pulling her head away and looking up at me.
