He gasped. "I told you, GG!"

"You did." I gave him a watery smile.

Remy wiped underneath his eyes with his knuckles turning his face like he didn't want either of us seeing how emotional he was getting.

"She was beautiful too," I continued rocking him in my arms

His little face brightened proudly. "I know."

"She loves you very much."

"I love her too." Melo pressed his little hand against his chest. "Daddy says she always with us in here."

"She is, sweetie." I smiled gently. My eyes lifted toward Remy. He looked wrecked emotionally, but peaceful too. I reached my hand toward him silently. He took it intertwining our fingers before bringing my knuckles to his lips.

"What else she say?" Remy asked quietly.

I swallowed past the emotion in my throat. "She told me I was safe now." My eyes held his. "And that you would take care of me."

"Every day for the rest of my life, beautiful," he vowed. All I could do was smile. "You hear that, little man?" he asked Melo softly. "Your mommy out here helping Daddy get his girl."

Melo giggled. "Good job, Mommy," he said proudly toward the ceiling. "So, you staying home with us now, GG?"

My breath caught.

Home.

Here with him and his daddy.

I looked over at Remy. He was watching me. Waiting. Softly, I brushed my fingers across Melo's hair and kissed the top of his head. "Yeah, little handsome," I whispered emotionally. "GG's home."

Chapter 60

Okay…maybe I went too far.

I didn’t expect the shit to blow up the way it did.

I just wanted to have a little fun. Teach that bitch Gianna and Boss a lesson for crossing me. I didn't expect that when I started calling Eva, she would snap like that. I expected some yelling.

A divorce. Boss being distraught andmaybefalling into my arms afterward realizing I was the one who really understood him.

But now he was dead.

And Gianna almost joined him.

That realization sat heavy and wrong in my chest.

Bianca sat next to me shaking her head slowly. "So you really didn't know that woman was crazy enough to kill him?"

I frowned. "Bitch, obviously not."

"But you kept calling her," she pressed.

"I mean…yeah." I rolled my eyes defensively. "I wanted her to know her husband was creeping. That ain't a crime."

Bianca stared at me.

"And maybe I said a little extra shit." I shrugged trying to downplay it. "But damn—I didn't think she was gon' kill that nigga."
