I've given up trying to place that smile. I know for a fact, now that I know his name, I've never seen any of his movies.
I don't know... Maybe I've seen his face on the cover of a magazine on the rack across from my checkout counter at the grocery store.
“So corny,” I say quickly before I say yes and end up regretting it in the morning. Because this could end at any moment.
Don’t. Get. Attached.
“Goodnight, Spaceman.” I finally take my hands from the warm plane of his firm chest. They feel so empty now.
“Why do you keep calling me that?” Apollo asks, his voice sharp all of a sudden.
“I’m sorry. It’s your eyes. The first time I looked into them, I thought the way they sparkled was out of this world. I’ll stop, if—.”
“No. Don’t. I like it.”
A grin twitches my lips. “Well then, goodnight again, Spaceman.”
“See you at breakfast,” he says with a wink and I swoon for the hundredth time knowing it won’t be the last.
