Chapter Twenty-Six
APOLLO
It feels good to have an audience again. Doesn’t hurt that they’re all women either. All happily committed to their husbands and boyfriends but still enjoying the show. But as much as I love the attention of the group, nothing compares to the way my heart soars when I find Lily’s eyes on me as I reenact the other women’s favorite scenes from the numerous films I’ve starred. What draws me to her even more is the complete lack of jealousy when the others join in taking on other roles.
Maybe it’s because she can’t. Because she hasn’t seen my movies. Or maybe it’s because she trusts me.
Damn, that feels good.
“Uh oh,” Parker says when we finish another scene. “It’s later than I thought. Better go before Blake comes looking for round two,” She jokes and tosses me a cute little wink that shows exactly why Blake is so protective and jealous. She’s cute as sin. “It was good seeing you again. You know… Without all the blood and violence.”
I hesitate for a second, after opening my arms for a hug from her. Then we both laugh and hug anyway.
One by one, Charlie, Haley, and Blue all say goodbye too.
“They’re a riot,” I say after they’re gone.
“You’ll have to have the boys over some time,” Lily says as she starts picking up the mess we all made.
I take her hands and pull her to me. The mess can wait.
“Or everyone,” I say.
Lily snakes her arms around my waist as I push my fingers into her silky, black mane.
“I’m sure Haley will throw a party at some point. She has one about once a month.”
“Would be nice to finally bury the hatchet with Blake, once and for all. Be able to be in the same room with him without worrying about getting my ass kicked.”
Lily giggles and my cock goes from half to full mast.
“Tonight was good,” I say bending to place my lips on her neck.
I faced one of my worst fears tonight. Not my past acting experience being exposed, though that sucks too, but the idea that Lily was just like the others. Using me to get what she wants.
“Yeah?” Lily asks huskily.
“I like your friends.”
I should have known better than to think Lily could do something so cruel. I feel awful that it ever crossed my mind. I’ll make it up to her.
“I think they like you more.” She giggles then hums as I drag my tongue up her pulse.
“I like you more,” I say against her hot mouth.
Starting right now.
“Time for that encore,” I growl.
Lily squeals as I lift her off her feet and throw her over my shoulder to carry her back to bed.
