She moves toward me and I pull her into a hug, but she pulls away quickly. I let her go only because the last thing I want to do is make things worse.

“Thank you for inviting me.” She directs the words at me and when I meet her gaze, I can see the unshed tears in her eyes. “I’m so glad you’re okay and at home, Ryker. You gave Ezra a big scare.” She offers him a smile, but there’s a sadness there that makes my heart clench. “You have a wonderful family here. It’s obvious you value loyalty, but I would caution anyone if that makes you blind to the truth. Loyalty can be a weapon, just as much as a virtue.”

Lara casts a withering look at Playboy. That one look holds so much weight within it. Then she turns and walks out of the clubhouse with her head held high. She doesn’t look back.

“Whatever,” Playboy huffs like he doesn’t give a shit.

Lola coos something in his ear I can’t quite hear, but whatever it is has his eyes flashing in triumph. I grimace and then look up at Titus to find him watching the byplay between Lola and Playboy with shuttered eyes.

I don’t know what he’s thinking, but I also know this isn’t my problem to get involved in. Lara has never said anything about it, but I’ll be there for her if she ever wants to.

Titus lifts me up into his arms and I yelp in surprise, but the sound turns into laughter as I wrap my arms around his neck. We don’t look back as he carries me out of the room and toward our room in the clubhouse.

We haven’t spent a lot of time in this room, choosing to spend our time at the house, but with how turned on I’ve been all night, I’m glad we don’t have to go far.

The clothes go flying and then Titus sits with his back against the headboard as he uses his grip on my bare hips to put me right where he wants me.

I know I should grab a condom, but the ring on my finger catches the light and I’m sinking down his length without one.

“Fuck, Teach,” Titus grits out through his teeth. “Your pussy is scorching hot.”

He doesn’t ask me if I’m sure about going bare. He doesn’t even question it.

His eyes just glint with possessiveness while his grip on my body tightens. I ride him, hard and fast, needing to come because it feels like he’s been toying with me for hours.

Our bodies, slicked with sweat, slap together as he thrusts upward to meet my movements. My head tilts back when he sucks one of my hard nipples into his mouth and bites down.

It’s all I need to detonate and my muscles lock up while I scream, “Titus.”

“That’s right,” his voice is strained. “Let everyone hear how you fall apart for me.”

With a few more thrusts, my body goes boneless just as he roars out his own release. I feel the warmth of his cum filling me and a sense of satisfaction thrums through my veins. While we’re both panting, my head comes down to rest on his shoulder, and he wraps his arms around me tightly.

“Next time, you’re putting the cut back on,” his voice is a warning rumble which makes me smile against his skin.

“You’re the Prez,” I tease him.

He smacks my ass and rolls us. He’s still hard inside of me and the way his gray eyes glint tells me he’s nowhere near done with me. Not yet.

I have a feeling he won’t ever be done with me, which is perfect as far as I’m concerned. I’ll never be done with him either.

CHAPTER 25

EZRA

Walking into the station, the one I’ve walked into so many times throughout my life, feels different now. Titus is a half-step behind me, but I know he would rather be in front of me to shield me, just in case. But he doesn’t need to shield me, not here.

At least, I don’t think he does.

His willingness to walk into this building with me is a testament to how much he loves me. This is the last place he should be and the awareness of it slams into me.

Maybe we shouldn’t be here, but it’s the right thing to do.

I got engaged a few days ago and I’ve completely moved into our home on the club’s land. The last thing I want is for the rumor mill to reach Dad before I do. It just wouldn’t be right.

Which is why I’m walking into the station and pretending I still own it just because my dad sits in the big office. Inside? My internal freak-out is a whole other story, but I keep my face composed and my expression neutral.

This is normal. Just a perfectly normal day doing perfectly normal things.
