“Anything for you.” He adjusted Ji-Su in his lap to relax comfortably in the chair and wrapped his arms around him. “We’ll stay here until the storm clears. Then I’m taking you back home.”

Happy that this was settled, Ji-Su sighed with relief and laid his head on Raul’s chest. Back on the ranch with Raul was exactly where he wanted to be.

Chapter 47

Six months later.

“What do you want to do for our bonding ceremony?

“Hmm?”

They’d spent the winter snuggled up inside. Now that spring had returned, they were on the back terrace, reclining on a cushy, oversized lounge chair. Ji-Su had been lazily watching the moon slowly move across the sky while on the verge of falling asleep when Raul brought him to full wakefulness with his question.

“Where do you want to become bond mates? Do you want a big, wedding type celebration with all of our family and friends invited? Or would you like to go on an adventure vacation? I can bite you at the North Pole.”

Ji-Su shook his head as he imagined himself bundled up and shivering in the snow. “I have no desire to go to the North Pole. Not even if Santa was standing there waiting for me with a brand-new special edition PlayStation.”

Raul smiled and leaned down to kiss the tip of his nose.

“Then where do you want to go?”

Ji-Su thought about for a few seconds. “Actually, I think I’d like to have something private and close to home with just the two of us. Then after it’s done, we can share the news with everyone.”

“Close to home and private?”

“Yeah,” Ji-Su said with a nod. “I think that would be nice.”

“Okay, then. That can be arranged.”

“Really?”

Raul squeezed him in a hug.

“Yep. Leave everything to me.”

A WEEK LATER, JI-SUsigned off from his gaming live stream. “I won’t be on for the next few days,” he reminded his followers. He received a bunch of comments telling him to enjoy his break and they would miss him. After acknowledging them with a finger heart, he waved goodbye. “See you all next week!”

Ji-Su took off his headset and powered down his systems. Giddy with anticipation, he ran downstairs, headed for Raul’s office. Raul had told him earlier this week that they’d be leaving for their bonding bite trip tonight.

Before he reached his destination, he ran into Raul who was coming from the great room. His lover swept him up into his arms, spinning him around in a circle.

“Where are you running to?” he asked once they were still.

“To find you and ask you one more time what I should pack.”

“And I told you that you don’t need to pack anything. Everything we need is waiting for us.” Raul shifted him around until he was in a bridal hold, then started carrying him to the front door.

“We’re leaving now?” Ji-Su asked.

“Yep.”

“Are you finally going to tell me where we’re going?”

“We’re going camping.”

Ji-Su leaned back in Raul’s arms to give him a look full of doubt. “You want to set the scene for romance so you’re takingmeto live outside. Are you sure that’s the best plan?”

Raul chuckled in amusement as he briefly switched to holding him with one hand so he could open the front door. “You’ll love it. Trust me.”
