“I’m begging you to let me give you the world, because you deserve nothing less. So tell me, my love...”

Thrust.

“Will.”

Thrust.

“You.”

Thrust.

“Marry.”

Thrust.

“Me?”

“Yes!” I scream.

“Yes,” he says against my lips, claiming them and picking up a violent rhythm, hitting a very sweet spot inside me, making it feel like a wave of orgasms instead of just one is about to crash into me. “Say it again!” he roars, keeping up his onslaught as my nails dig into his skin, like I’m trying to reassure myself this is real, and not a dream.

“Y—”

His fingers land on my clit while he slams inside me, making me forget how to form words altogether, only screams of pleasure raking inside me, breaking my body with bliss.

My vision blurs, but I see him. My hearing deafens, but I hear him. And I feel him pulsate inside me, stretching me, marking me as his own, before collapsing on top of me.

Threading my fingers through Atlas’s hair, his arms wrap around me, while his face buries in the crook of my neck with a kiss.

Turns out, every questionable decision—wrong ones dressed in good intentions, or right ones twisted by misguided beliefs—led to this: engaged and fucked on the hood of a car in a shitty hotel parking lot. This definitely wasn’t on my to-do list.

“Why did you leave me waiting for so long?” I choke out with the modicum of air present in my lungs, the question I should’ve asked in the first place, before Atlas decides it’s okay to take me once more right here on the spot.

He pulls out of me, which is the first sign I won’t like his response.

Tucking himself inside his pants—another red flag.

Allowing me to sit upright and not being all over me yet again—a fucking field of red flags.

Then his lips lock in a tight line.

I’ll strangle my fiancé with the same hand now decorated by this huge ring if he doesn’t start talking. Would killing him make me a widow, or should I have been married to hold such a title?

“Raven has gotten herself into a huge mess and—”

“Is she okay?” I shoot out as my whole being goes into panic mode, blaring alarms ringing in my mind, while my galloping pulse from a moment ago seems still compared to its current tempo. I’m gonna throw up!

“She’s alive,” Atlas says, as my hands start to shake, and I’m barely able to draw air. “And unharmed... it seems.”What?“She’s been...” He trails off, and the weariness in his voice tells me exactlyhow worried he is to tell me the rest. I’m definitely gonna throw up! “... a little bit... kidnapped.”

A little bit kidnapped?!

“W-w—?” I can’t even form words.

He’s going to be a little bit murdered.

“I wanted to get her back before coming for you, because you’d kill me or worse if I hadn’t—”

“What’s worse than killing you?” I shout.
