One night.
Why did she tell me she used protection?
Why did she lie?
Or is Issac lying?
“Blake, I was out of order the other day.” Issac rubs the back of his neck awkwardly. “I shouldn’t have crossed the line. I know you’re in love with each other.”
Good.
I’m glad he knows that.
“But if there’s any chance that’s my baby, I want to be part of its life.”
Closing my eyes, I rub my temples.
I’ll kill him first.
I know it’s irrational, but I’m fiercely possessive over this pregnancy.
It’s Danielle’s first baby, and I’ll be damned if I don’t share every step of it with her.
But if itisIssacs…
“I know it’s hard. But I’m serious, I can walk away from Danielle and respect everything about you as a couple. But the baby, if it’s mine, needs me in its life.”
“It will have a father,” I grit out, cutting my eyes at him.
“It deserves its real father.”
This cannot be happening.
“We won’t know until the baby is here, Blake.”
“I know that, you piece of shit,” I grumble, closing my eyes.
Issac chuckles, and I open my eyes to see him staring at the table. “I really am sorry.”
“Yeah, so am I. I’ll speak to Danielle, but it looks like we’ll need a DNA test.”
I’m bitter.
Of course, I’m fucking bitter.
My best friend might’ve knocked up my wife.
DANIELLE
“Chinese or Indian?” Blake asks, gulping down his water.
His muscles flex beneath his shirt, and I can’t help but pull him toward me.
His body weighs heavily down on mine, and I kiss his neck, aware of his pulse quickening beneath my lips.
His scent drives me wild, and he drops the bottle to the floor, his fingers running up my inner thigh as he sighs.
Uh oh.
