PS: Also, thank you for making Freddy more than a bumbling idiot.

Dear user78767645,
Thank you for your letter and for powering through centuries of English pride to pay me a compliment. My American ancestors are cackling in triumph.
In all sincerity, I’m touched that these stories have meant something to you. Though they aren’t my characters andTerraFormativeisn’t my world, it’s an honor to write in it. Letters like this are part of the reason I enjoy it so much.
Since we’re both already oversharing, I’ll be honest and tell you that your note was perfectly timed, as I was in the midst of my own pity party about having completed another full rotation around the sun. Also, I realized today I’ve been working at a “temporary” job for almost five years. Recently, I’ve been feeling like making some changes in my life and was inspired by your words.
Sincerely,
FreddyStan4life
PS: Freddy has hidden depths that weren’t properly conveyed in the show. I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for him.

Dear FreddyStan4life,
Americans don’t have ancestors. They have traitorous bloodlines.
Freddy is grossly misunderstood.
I’m sorry to hear you’re American. I honestly just assumed you were from the right side of the pond based on your writing. Unfortunately, Her Majesty the Queen has reached out and asked that we cease all communications.
Happy Birthday. Sorry, it was less than exciting.
Don’t fret about time passing quickly, it has a habit of doing that, and I’m afraid it only gets worse with age. You have plenty of time to make changes. Life is short. Still, I do recommend that you start now. Don’t wait for the right time because there is no such thing.
Just ask the house in disrepair all around me.
I have spent the last few years in a blur. But in part, thanks to your stories and my therapist, I have now been sober for over three years. Lord, look at me oversharing. I’m a shame to my countrymen. I don’t usually talk about these sorts of things with anybody. I don’t usually talk to people at all if I can help it. But since I’ve already shared all my darkest secrets with you, there it is. I feel weary most days. Stuck, but too young to give up. Too old to have youthful optimism. Christ, I was much more fun when I drank …
Cheers (with fizzy water),
GodSaveTheQueen

Dear GodSaveTheQueen,
Congrats on the sobriety. I’m incredibly honored that you think that I had anything to do with that. But that’s all you, my teetotaler friend.
