We’d reached the locker room.

“We wait here,” she said. “They’ll be out soon.”

I tried to act cool, but I couldn’t. Butterflies were somersaulting in my belly, excitement lacing my veins, and every time the doors opened, the smell of sweat and boys hit me in a brutal onslaught, evoking forgotten memories of highschool, when I used to wait for Pete Walton, my first boyfriend, star quarterback of the football team.

And then there he was, first through the doors.

And like every single time before, he stole the air around me.

He stalked over, looking every inch the hockey player who’d scored half the total goals and taken out nearly all the players on the opposing team. Every inch the hockey player in the suit made for his body, a body that looked even bigger than it did when he’d left me five hours ago. His hair was still wet from the shower, the smell of sandalwood and leather and musk making my knees weak and assaulting my senses.

“Hey, Luck. Did you enjoy your first game?”

He didn’t wait for my answer before bending down to kiss me, brushing my lips, then taking my mouth in a big, wet, open kiss, his eyes still fixed on mine. I could feel his smile, his lips never leaving mine as he dropped his bag on the floor then cupped my face, sealing me in a full-blown embrace, unabashedly claiming me in the hallway, his tongue stroked against mine with a groan that hit me straight between the thighs.

The pent-up lust from the last few hours almost hit breaking point.

Holy shit.

My entire body was on fire.

Panties incinerated.

Clit throbbing.

I wondered if there was a locker, cupboard, bathroom stall, anywhere he could take me. Any flat surface he could fuck me against would do fine. I wasn’t fussy, and wouldn’t need long. That kiss brought me very close to the brink.

There was a loud cough from behind him and he chuckled, pulling back from me but not letting me get very far. Felix and Huck were standing behind him, grinning.

Huck raised his eyebrow. “I guess it’s pointless asking if you’re coming for drinks?”

Drew looked down at me, his hand curled around mine and he started tracing little patterns on my palm with the tips of his fingers, which only served as a stark reminder to my body that he hadn’t touched me enough today. “Yes. I’d say so.”

I glanced around to see Cooper and Freddie were also glued together.

It was official.

Hockey was the sexiest sport. No question.

And I don’t think it made a difference whether you had pregnancy hormones. You just needed eyes.

I turned to Wolfie, who was leaning against the wall. “Where’s Jasper?”

“He’ll probably be doing some interviews, but I hope he hurries up. He’s going to be pissed if they keep him too long.”

On cue, Jasper walked out of the locker room, pushing both the doors open together, heading straight for Wolfie, her face lighting up with so much love. He pressed his hands on either side of her stomach, before kissing her gently and whispering quietly in her ear.

“Okay, we’re going home. Wolfie’s tired.” He flung his arm around her shoulders. “Hey, Emerson, did you enjoy your first visit to the Garden?”

I grinned. “I did thanks. It was awesome.”

By awesome, I meant fucking phenomenal.

Best ever.

“Yeah, Drew practically wet himself in excitement at you being here. He’s never scored so much. Maybe you should come more often,” snickered Felix.

Drew smirked, flipping him the bird with both hands.
