We both stared at them, our heads moving from one to the other. “And?”

Jasper was just about to speak when he took in the awesomeness of our attire and barked out a laugh.

“Oh my God, you’re dressed the same.”

Pointing out the obvious, but okay. He was clearly sleep deprived. Felix was less inclined to be patient to his lack of awareness.

“Dude, it’s Halloween. Of course we fucking are. Now hurry up with this announcement.”

In my peripheral, I could see Cooper shaking his head.

“Anyway...?”

“Yes, anyway, seeing as you dumdums come as a pair, we don’t feel like we can split you up. And as our kids will be cousins, we think it’s only right you take them on together.”

Whoa, what now?

Felix’s eyes popped wide. “What? Both of them?”

“Yep.”

I stared hard, trying to find a flicker of a joke. Nothing. Their poker faces definitely weren’t that good.

Holy shit.

“To clarify, you’re both asking both of us to be godfather to both of your kids?”

Cooper rolled his eyes. “Yes, so don’t fuck it up.”

I punched the air. “Fucking yes!”

Felix grabbed me in an embrace, jumping up and down. “Oh we’re gonna be the best fucking godfathers.”

Too fucking right. Flash-forwards of Felix teaching them the best swearwords and me sneaking them candy…

“Yeah, we’re gonna fucking Brando this shit.”

I reached out to grab them. “Group hug.”

“Fuck off.” Cooper pushed us both away, far too easily for my liking. He must have been adding in an extra workout.

“So, when do we get to see her for real? Show her who the best godfather is? And how fucking awesome we are?”

Jasper’s face suddenly softened, taking on a distinctly gooey look. “She’s sleeping right now, but in a bit.”

“Where’s Wolf?”

“Sleeping too.”

“What about Freddie? She sleeping?”

Cooper scrubbed his hand down his face. “Honestly, dude, there’s a lot of sleeping. You wouldn’t even believe it. But Freddie went inside to see her mom.”

Shit, I forgot both their families were here too. “Oh, dude, have you had a houseful?”

“Yeah, you could say that. Between Wolf’s parents and mine, we haven’t had much time alone. But they’ll be going to Coop’s soon, his turn is coming up,” he grinned, punching his shoulder.

“Have Murray and Tate been around much?” Felix asked.
