“Yeah, they’re inside,” he rubbed his hands together, “where we should be before they eat all the food.”

“Lead the way.” Felix patted his stomach. “Wait, where’s Emerson?”

Actually, where was she? I turned and saw her sitting on the rear bumper of the car, holding her phone.

“Luck?” I called over to her.

She looked up. “Coming, sorry. I was just texting Jupiter.”

“Shit, I forgot it’s game five today, right?” Felix whispered.

“Yeah, Tate already has the pre-game on.”

I turned around. “Actually, you can help bring some stuff in.”

We all walked over to the car and Emerson moved away from the trunk, opening it. Felix did the same with his, and we all stood there staring at the contents.

Jasper was the first one to speak. “When did you even have the chance to buy all this?”

I shrugged. “I ordered it while we were away.”

“Me, too,” replied Felix, whose trunk looked almost the same, except if you replaced the lion and bears with a giraffe and a monkey.

“Between the two of you, you must have bought an entire store.”

“Or a zoo,” drawled Cooper.

“Told you - best godfathers.”

Jasper put an arm around each of our shoulders. “Seriously, thank you. Wolf will love this.”

Emerson grabbed some bags from inside the car. “While you boys are all standing there, I’m going to take these in.”

Cooper pulled his phone out and dialed. “Get your asses outside would you, please?”

Less than two minutes later Murray and Tate sauntered through the front door, Murray finishing off a sub which he shoved into his mouth.

“You summoned us?”

“Yeah, can you help carry this in?”

“Bloody hell, is this you two?” Murray pointed between Felix and me. “Leave some stuff for the uncles will you?”

“Don’t be bitter, we can’t help being amazing,” I laughed, pulling him into a hug. “Good to see you, buddy, been a few months.”

Returning my hug, he slapped me on the back. “You, too. How’re you doing?”

“Really good.”

He looked at me, his bottom lip rolling as his eyes narrowed, questioning my own assessment.

“Can you two stop yapping and start carrying? I want to watch the game.”

We all turned to Tate.

“It doesn’t start for five hours.”

“But at this rate, we’ll still be standing here.”
