As if today wasn’t a dream enough, I sleep in the nest bed with my whole pack. Callum is begrudgingly next to me as I sleep next to Maisie and Greer is on the other side.
She needed to be with all of her Alphas, especially the ones she bonded with.
Her breath is even and shallow as Callum whispers to me.
“Was it everything you imagined?” he asks.
“Even better.”
He nods, staring up at the ceiling, and I call this all a win in itself. Outside of heat, we never just rested together as a pack.
“Do you think…can you forgive me for being such a fucking cunt?”
“Yes,” Greer answers for both of us and I didn’t even realize he was still awake.
“What the boss man said. It was tough, but we got through it. I hate to sound like a cliche, but I think it was all meant to happen,” I say.
“Maybe, but I was still hard to deal with and I realize that. I’m working on processing my emotions better and not taking them out on anyone else.”
“Aye, that’s good, because you can’t be rotten when you join the bond,” I say, and he pinches me. “Ouch, I thought you were apologizing for being a twat.”
“That’s when and if she agrees to bond with me. I wouldn’t blame her if she made me wait forever,” Callum says.
“She won’t, and when she does bond you, we’ll have what we always talked about,” I say.
“I know, she’s a good person, better than I ever deserve. I’m going to be a better pack mate to all of you.”
“You can start by going to bed,” Greer says and I snort.
“We’ve always got your back mate, always.”
“Thank you both for not giving up on me after all this time,” he says.
I turn over on my side and see Maisie holding one eye open. I wink at her, letting her know the secret is safe with me and that she heard everything Callum just said.
When I go to sleep, I realize we’re going to be a fully-bonded pack sooner than later.
Life is good.

Life takeson its new normal. I’ve moved in what belongings I have at the pack house and Greer is going to use Birdie’s plane ticket back to Chicago to collect our things.
There is, of course, the part that I haven’t bonded with Callum yet. He’s put the ball in my court and I’m not sure exactly how to move it. He’s the missing piece of this puzzle and I know, even if he hasn’t said anything that he doesn’t like the idea of me traveling being unbonded to him.
Lain is pouting just because I’ll be gone, even if it is only for three days.
It feels like a ticking time bomb sitting over my head, a countdown on whether I’m leaving Scotland fully bonded or if it’s something that happens when I come back home.
Home.Damn, that just sounds so easy now. Since I’ve bonded with Lain and Greer we just have to file some documents and I’m a Scottish citizen.
I’m finishing my makeup as Lain comes behind me, smiling at me in the reflection of the mirror.
“Beautiful as always, ready to go?”
“Yeah, I’m ready,” I say and we head to Greer’s, which is fuller than I’ve ever seen it.
