Not fear.
Recognition.
Like everyone suddenly realizes the same thing:
Hannah Bowers isn’t breaking anymore.
She’s becoming dangerous.
Good.
About time.
She steps toward the large dining table where maps and weapons are spread across the old vineyard estate.
Rain pounds against the windows while gunfire echoes outside.
“We stop reacting.”
Her voice stays calm.
“We stop hiding.”
“We cut the head off Sentinel.”
Nobody interrupts.
Because deep down?
We all knew this was coming.
Hannah points directly at the map of Bucharest.
“Wu’s command center won’t stay underground now that the tunnel sectors collapsed.”
She looks at Gabriel.
“He’ll consolidate.”
Gabriel’s expression darkens instantly.
“He’ll move to Ascension.”
The room stills.
There’s that word again.
Ascension.
Russ folds his arms slowly.
“What the hell is Ascension?”
Nobody answers immediately.
That’s never a good sign.
Finally Gabriel exhales hard.
