Emma: Way too crunchy. They’ll mess with the movie ambience.
Finn: And there’s nothing a dudes’ movie night loves more than “ambience.” You’re totally welcome to join, btw. We’re watching a new action movie, and I know you’ll get along great with my friends.
Emma: Thanks, but I already made plans for tonight. :(
Finn: Hot date?
Emma: Haha, girls’ night with my roomie and her friends.
Finn: Jealous. Have fun!
Emma: You too. And seriously, don’t get the chips.
Finn: :(
Tuesday
Noah: Are you busy?
Emma: Scott is giving me a rundown on coffee preparation at the cart in case the administration ever takes my application seriously and decides he needs a sidekick. What’s up?
Noah: Can I call you later?
Emma: Of course. Is something wrong?
Noah: No. I just want to hear your voice.
Wednesday
Emma: I think I’m being followed.
Teresa: What?
Emma: A guy followed me from Music Theory to the library, and now all the way to the coffee cart. He might be a stalker.
Teresa: Are you sure? Maybe all this schizo talk is making you extra paranoid. The crime shows haven’t helped.
Emma: I’m not crazy! He’s all big and dark and tough-looking with tattoos. Maybe he’s a bounty hunter and there’s a hit out on me I don’t know about?
Teresa: Sure, because that makes the most sense. Do you feel like you’re in danger?
Emma: Kind of, and did I mention he’s big? Like really big. He could flick me with a single finger and I’d go down.
Teresa: Well, get away from him! And stay in a populated place.
Emma: You’re right. He’s still following, but I just got to the cafeteria.
Teresa: Good. Find a security guard and tell them what’s going on.
Emma: Omg, it’s hot fudge sundae day! You need to get down here, Teresa!
Teresa: What about the creep? Did you tell a guard?
Emma: That guy? Oh, I think he’s fine. He’s getting a sundae, too.
Teresa: Please don’t befriend your stalker, Emma.
