My stomach growlsas I lie on my back, staring up at the ceiling. I look to Cass as she sleeps peacefully. Not wanting to bother her, I slip from the bed to head for a quick shower.

“Mom. We have to figure out a way to get her to rest. We love having her help and seeing how happy she is to have all the new babies around, but she looks tired by the end of the day.”
“Yeah, I drove her home last night and had Ry follow in her car. She didn’t even put up a real fight,” Wyatt adds.
I grunted. I noticed Wyatt had brought her and the food she made for us home the night before. Because she wants to be able to move between the boys’ houses, she’s been driving herself around even though I have offered to spend the days driving her around.
“How can we fix this without hurting her feelings or taking her happiness away?” Ryan asked.
I took a seat and sighed heavily. This one wasn’t an easy one. Short of two or three of them moving out of her reach, there wasn’t a way.
I already know that’s not going to happen. They have each established a home for their families, not only close to each other but also near my wife and me.
“I don’t think there is a way. Maybe I can get her to go on that vacation and at least she can recharge,” I offered.
Just then, my phone rang with the call from LaSalle. I was relieved to hear his offer. Cass never turns down an Alliance retreat. She gets all her girls and their children in one place at one time.
