LaSalle and Tasha always provide ample childcare and ways for the guests to enjoy themselves and relax. This will be great for Cassidy. Wyatt was the one to suggest we fly ahead on a separate flight.

The new company jet had more than enough room for everyone, but Wyatt was right that his mom wouldn’t know how to mind her business and relax with all the babies on one flight. To be honest, I would have been guilty of the same.

The first one to cry would have been in my arms. I never had a daughter, so my granddaughters are a bit spoiled. They get away with a hell of a lot when it comes to me.

Noah used to glare at me for it, making me chuckle. However, seeing him with his first little girl, I think he understands more now. I have a smile on my face just thinking about it as I walk to the kitchen, whistling to myself.

My smile grows as the unmistakable sound of my brood catches my ear. The boys’ rumbling voices as they taunt each other are something I would know anywhere. Nothing has changed there.

“You know Mom and Dad came in earlier so they could get nasty. I heard LaSalle had a dungeon added to the premises,” Ryan says.

I shake my head. I heard the same, but Cass and I don’t need a dungeon to live out our desires. These kids still have a lot to learn.

“Shut up. I told them to come in ahead. They didn’t stop fucking before they had you, so why should they stop now?” Wyatt shoots back at him.

I step into the kitchen to find Wyatt with Gunnar in his arms and Noah nuzzling Addison’s little head as he holds her. Bean has a bowl of fruit in her hands as she munches on some grapes. Nellie has her head down on the countertop with her eyes closed as Wyatt has his free hand resting on her back while standing beside her chair.

Ryan has Carmen between his legs while holding Reign in his arms. John has his nephew, Brien, in his arms as he looks down at him lovingly, reminding me that I plan to have a talk with Roni.

I understand her fears, but with Dr. Nobi and Dr. Omid, I believe she’ll be in good hands. I just want to give her some fatherly support. I know how much John wants another baby, but he’s not going to pressure his wife into anything.

If I can help in any way, I want to. John is a good father and great uncle. He has patience the others don’t have. Don’t get me wrong, they’re all great fathers, but you can clearly see John’s patience with his little girl and all the other little ones.

“I honestly don’t see what my sex life has to do with you,” I say, grabbing all their attention.

Felix looks up from his laptop and turns to me with wide eyes. I laugh to myself as Toby also looks in my direction as if they have all been busted. Braxton and Heather sit looking amused.

“Okay, so where’s the dungeon?” Roni asks as if I haven’t walked in the room or said a word.

Everyone busts into laughter. I move to grab a couple of grapes from Bean’s bowl and toss them in my mouth. As I ask for supplies to make a sandwich from one of the staff members who pops her head in, everyone falls into playful banter.

Yup, this is the vacation we all needed. I guess we found our solutions. A family vacation home for Cass it is.

That will be next on my list.

CHAPTER 38

The Plan

LaSalle

Now that everyoneis settled in and Misha has told me and Logan what Sammy’s visit was about, we have called a meeting before everyone can kick back and get lost on the island.

I look around the meeting room, and it hits me for the millionth time that this thing is real. What was once a thought has become a huge reality. These men have put their trust in me, Logan, Uri, and Misha.

Now we are about to put that trust to the test once again. I look to Brooklyn as Deja sits next to him while Sammy explains what he has seen in his visions and what we all must do.

Deja’s eyes are wide as she takes Sammy’s every word in. This all seemed like it started with her and only became an O’Brien problem because of her. Now Sammy has absolved some of that guilt, from the looks of it.

This all runs deeper than any of us have known. The more I learn, the more I can see that now. Pulling one string revealed a ton more we didn’t know about.

“We need you to decide, and then the planning can begin. You get two: one covered in red, the other in white. Irish bells toll for death, wedding bells ring on a Scottish night. But the blue eyes haunt the night as she stands out of sight,” Sammy says before he falls silent.

We all remain speechless. Misha sits looking thoughtful. I keep my focus on him, able to read that something is on his mind. Then I note a look that passes between him and Uri.

I push it aside to dig into later. Obviously, neither wants to bring up whatever it is that’s on their minds. Instead of prying, I refocus on Brooklyn and Deja.

“The Alliance will pay for both weddings if you choose to do this. It’s up to you. I’m sure if you say no, another option will reveal itself?—”
