His thrusts are swift and rhythmic and he’s hitting that sweet spot deep inside me. Impossible tension is building again. I’m still recovering from the first one, I don’t think I can handle a second.

I grab his ass, feeling it flex as he thrusts. But when I look up into his eyes, there’s so much depth there. It’s not just lust, passion. There’s deeper emotion there. The kind that worries me. Because I don’t want to hurt him. And if he falls for me, he will get hurt.

But then he licks his thumb, placing it on my sensitive clit, and my hips jump at the touch. The ache builds again, shoving every other thought out of my head. I’m just emotion and need now. Need for him. Because he makes everything else disappear. The way he touches me, the way his cock fills me, the way he does what he’s told, and the way he can still anticipate my needs.

My body is one exposed nerve, raw and sensitive, every sensation feeling more intense than the last.

“Please, can I come?” he pleads.

That does it. Those words send me to the edge, one touch away from flying off it. But I want him beside me when I fall.

“Yes, come for me. Come inside me. I want to feel it.”

His dick thickens and a strangled cry escapes him as he gives one last thrust. He takes me with him, the pulsing of him inside me thefinal blow.

A wave of pleasure rocks my body, every muscle tensing as I let go, clenching at his cock as he comes down with slow, steady thrusts.

He catches me as I fall back, laying me down gently. The cool counter is soothing on my heated skin, and I can still feel him twitching inside me as the remnants of his pleasure ebb.

He leans down to give me a kiss on my slack lips and I wince as he pulls out, missing the feeling of fullness. He brushes a strand of hair off my face, then scoops my limp body up in his arms. I relax into them as he carries me to his room, setting me down on the soft mattress.

My eyes blink sleepily as his woodsy scent surrounds me in a comforting embrace.

“You should stay the night. Neither of us is in any shape to drive.”

I nod sleepily into the pillow, and he walks away.

After I hear the sounds of the toilet flushing and the water running, the mattress dips under his weight. He slides in close, cradling me in his arms, and I smile.

“Hollywood, I know I’m not supposed to say this. But I l…I really like you.”

My shoulders tense for a moment. Was he about to sayI love you? But then, I’m all warm and fuzzy and soft from the intensity of the orgasms. He must be too. All these feelings get muddled up together. Love and lust. I’m sure that’s all it was.

“Yeah,” I say softly, letting myself relax against him, “same.”

Chapter 26

Aura

Thedaystartedoutgood. Well, as good as it could considering we started at sunrise to film a scene up on the top of the gentle hill out back behind the fields. After we ran late again last night, I’m operating on four hours of sleep. And even though a week has passed since I slipped out of Quint’s room after spending the night, I can’t stop thinking about it.

It’s the things he left unsaid that keep weighing on me. He was going to say it. The L word. And he held back because he knew it’s not what I wanted to hear. But that’s not fair, is it? This is exactly what I was hoping to avoid. I don’t want to hurt him. He’s so sweet and caring. He deserves somebody who can return his feelings, who isn’t going to take off and leave him behind for the next job. That’s not me. My life is different. This is his home, and I could never tear him away.

“Aurelia, you there?”

Maggie’s shout pulls me out of my head and I blink, trying to reorientate myself into the scene. Everyone else seated around the table is staring at me. Shit, I missed my line.

“Sorry, everyone.” I yawn. “I’m really tired.”

Maggie walks up, drops her hands on the table and surveys all of us seated around the Holloway family’s dining table. “Look, I know everyone is exhausted. It’s been a long day, but we’ve only got the house for one more day, so we need to get all of our scenes locked and loaded. We don’t want to inconvenience them any more than we have to.”

Right. “Sorry, Maggie.” I turn to the rest of the cast. “Sorry, everyone.”

“Don’t worry about it, we’re right there with you.” Delaney’s smile is still bright, but there’s a hint of strain around her eyes, so I know she’s not just saying it to make me feel better.

But Maggie is also right. The Holloways have turned their home over to us this week and we’re getting most of the in-house scenes shot now so we don’t have to disrupt their lives again. Caleb moved into Quint’s house for the week, and Shayla went to stay with a friend.

I run the lines in my head one more time before we dive right back in, nailing the family dinner scene.
