I let out a dry laugh. ‘Please. If I wanted to compete with Saloni, it wouldn’t be over you.’
That shut him up for a bit. When he spoke next, he was pointing at his computer screen. ‘Did you see Rajat uncle’s email?’ he asked.
The name of my boss’s boss always made me jump, a reflex born of my response to authority and the small matter of my ongoing lie. There, in my inbox, was an email from the company’s founder.
