Adam glances down between us. “Need me to go slow?”

“No… I don’t know. I’ll tell you if it’s too much.”

When he pushes in, my nails dig into his shoulders. The mix of pleasure and a bit of pain is intoxicating. Part of me doesn’t know if I can handle another orgasm like that, but the other part of me craves to feel that rush again.

Adam pauses, his hands gripping my waist. “You okay?”

I wrap my legs around his hips and pull him. Even the tiniest friction has my body feeling like it’s on fire. “Very much so. Please move.”

Adam tilts me back, changing the angle slightly, but somehow it feels like he just went in two more inches.

His thrusts feel downright methodical with a rhythm I can’t even begin to describe. Each one carries just enough power and the perfect pressure. It’s not quick, but definitely not slow.

His head drops against my shoulder with nips and kisses that travel all the way up to my ear.

“Fuck, Mia, I love being inside of you. You’re so damn perfect for me.”

I claw at his back. “I think I might—” My words stop as my core tightens. It feels like they’re taking over me so fast. I’m not sure if it’s the fact that he’s been gone for two weeks, the hormone changes, or hell, the emotional impact our relationship has had this past month, but I’m coming again.

“That’s my perfect girl.” Adam picks up his pace as my walls pulse around him.

Just as mine slowly wavers, I feel his orgasm take over.

I scratch his back as each roll of his hips slows. He leans back with this blissful grin. We’re sweaty and so thoroughly satisfied.

“I can’t feel my legs,” I pant through a chuckle.

He kisses my forehead. “I’ll carry you home.”

Chapter 27

Mia

Adam and I have to look like the most uncomfortable couple sitting in the waiting room of my OB’s office. Adam stands out in general with his size, but pair that with a bouncing knee and the anxiety written all over my face…needless to say, we’ve gotten a few concerned looks from other people waiting or passing through.

I don’t know how it happened. We were both fine this morning. We laid around lazily for arguably too long, but I didn’t want it to end.

For the first day in two weeks, I did nothing for several hours. Well, that’s not entirely true…Ididdo things to Adam.

You’d think the orgasms would chill us out a bit, but after filling out the paperwork and waiting for what feels like an eternity—anxiety has taken back over the both of us.

I need to hear my baby’s heartbeat. I talked to Wyla quite a bit about this appointment, and while I’m not exactly excited that there’s a possibility I’ll have to do a vaginal ultrasound first—I’ll do anything to hear that sound and know everything’s okay.

“Mia Wright,” a nurse in purple scrubs calls from the front.

Adam and I both jump up from our seats. My eyes lock on him, and he runs a hand down my arm.

“Everything’s going to be fine.”

I nod with a deep inhale, then exhale with my first step. I smile at our nurse. “Hi, is it okay if he comes back with me?”

“Of course.” She gestures to a bench a little way down the hall. “He can wait right there while we get situated. I can come back and get him.”

“Thank you.” Adam nods to the nurse, then kisses my temple before heading down the hall.

My nurse holds out a cup. “For you. Check the name and date to make sure everything’s correct. The bathrooms are right behind me, and you’ll leave the cup in the metal cabinet.”

“Great. Okay. And where do I go after?”
