“You hate it, don’t you?”

“Kind of.”

I groan. “Well, you know the deal, All-Star. You shoot down a name, you have to come up with the next suggestion.”

“What about Caroline?”

“So everyone can sing ‘Sweet Caroline’ every time she introduces herself?”

Adam snorts a laugh. “I doubt it would happen every time.”

“Sorry, I’m going to have to veto that one.”

“We’ll land on one soon.” Adam leans forward and kisses my forehead. “Let’s go see what they’ve done to her nursery.”

“I can’t imagine they’ve messed it up that badly.”

“I don’t know, it’s only Beck and Tripp working on it. Emma can rein Tripp in, but Jensen’s at home sleeping after helping Lucie last night.”

“Did you see that adorable photo Jen sent of the twins in the chat? There so tiny and precious.”

“I did. Will and Callie are over there now, and I’m pretty sure we’ve gotten like five more.”

“I can’t believe her and Wyla had their babies a week apart.” Whipping out my phone, I toggle off my Do Not Disturb so I don’t miss any more notifications. “Oh my goodness, they’re in little matching Blues onesies.” I shove the photo in front of Adam as we head down the hallway. “I’m going to need one of these in every size.”

“I’ll message Callie.”

Adam pulls out his phone, but then we hear Emma say, “You idiots, how did you do this?”

We roll our eyes toward each other and Adam shakes his head. “I told you.”

“Eh, it makes it more fun.”

When we walk in, we find all three of them standing around the crib. It’s upside down and some pieces definitely don’t look like they’re in the right place, but on the bright side, I don’t think anything’s broken.

Adam sighs. “What did you guys do? Build it with your eyes closed?”

Beck rocks on his feet. “We might have raced to see who could finish their side first.”

Tripp scratches the back of his neck. “With no instructions.”

Adam and Emma both roll their eyes and sigh, but I can’t help but laugh. “Well, is either side right?”

“No,” both Beck and Tripp answer at the same time.

Adam steps closer. “Did you make holes for the screws?”

“Yeah, maybe,” Tripp whispers, and that only makes me laugh harder.

“What the fuck, guys?” Adam snaps.

I wrap my arms around his side. “Why don’t we take it apart and we can finish it when you all get back? I would like for us to have some time together before you have to head out.”

“Yeah, I bet you would.” Beck winks.

Adam takes one step forward, and Beck holds up his hands in surrender. “Actually, why don’t Tripp and I just get rid of this one and I’ll order you a new one?”

“That sounds great.” I pull Adam back to me with a smile.
