“Tina, she’s a newborn,” Connie argued. “That’s a long way off.”

Shrugging, Tina said, “Not really. She’s so gorgeous, we have to put her in diaper commercials.”

Connie frowned. “Not my grandbaby. She’ll be a normal little girl. I can’t wait to keep her over the summer.”

Tina waved a dismissive hand. “Oh, I’ll let you handle that, Connie. I’ll fly in and visit during the holidays.”

Paige giggled. “They are something else,” she whispered to Andrew.

“That’s an understatement.” He glanced at her. “How are you feeling?”

She leaned her head against his shoulder. “Tired, but I can’t sleep. I just want to look at her.”

“Stop trying to teach this baby how to sing,” Connie said, drawing Andrew and Paige’s attention back to them. “She can’t even keep her eyes open.”

“Hey, I have to start early. I wish I had done this with Paige. That girl can’t sing a lick.”

Paige’s mouth fell open. “What? I can sing.”

Tina shook her head. “No, baby, you can’t. Ask Andrew.” She pointed at him. “And you better tell her the truth because you don’t hesitate to tell me the truth about my career options.”

Andrew averted his gaze when Paige turned to him. “Thanks, Tina,” he said.

He’d taken over as her mother’s agent after Jax retired. He’d also been promoted to senior partner at Pure Talent.

“Well?” Paige shot a pointed stare at her husband. “Drew? Tell the truth. You know I can sing.”

He shrugged. “In theory.”

She glared at him. “Are you serious?”

“Yes, honey,” Tina cut in. “He’s serious. But you can act your ass off. That’s your gift.”

Andrew snickered next to her and she elbowed him. “Whatever,” she huffed.

Wrapping his arms around her, he said, “I promised to tell you the truth, baby. Stick to acting.”

She swatted his shoulder. “Don’t play me.”

The last two years had been a whirlwind for Paige. While she’d continued to act, starring in a NetPix drama for two seasons and a variety of films, she’d also produced several projects. And her team had rolled with her through and through. She wouldn’t have been able to do half of the things she’d done without them. And although Andrew wasn’t her agent anymore, he’d still offered her advice and a shoulder to lean on when she struggled with decisions regarding her career.

“It’s okay, though,” he continued. “We can’t all be good at everything.”

“I’m good at a lot of things.”

He met her gaze and smiled. “I’d agree with that. Last week, you did a particularly good job on that chair.”

Paige’s cheeks burned as she recalled their chairsexcapade. Her belly hadn’t stopped them from making slow love that night. “You are so bad.”

Andrew kissed her. “I need a repeat.”

“I think I need to move to California and live with them,” Connie announced.

Both Andrew’s and Paige’s heads snapped up. “What?” Paige asked.

“Let’s not get carried away, Mom,” Andrew said in a calm voice. “We can definitely talk about you moving to California, but I’m not sure moving in with us is the best thing.”

“We’ll see.” Connie handed the baby to Tina. “I just think you two need help. You’re too busy.”
